Monthly Rentals in Newbiggin-on-Lune

Debbie and max were excellent hosts, they were responsive and gave loads of helpful information before we arrived. They greeted us on arrival to show us the space and how the hot tub works. The house was beautiful, incredibly well equipped (large fridge, all you could need for cooking and large tea pots and cafetières). The garden, BBQ and hot tub were fantastic and we had a stunning walk from the Airbnb to a viaduct. Thank you!

Just got back from a two night stay for my birthday. Lovely drive to The Byre and easy to find! The first night was bad weather but we still made the most of it by going to The Fat Lamb for tea and then back to play board games by the log burner. The second day we made the most of the nicer weather by doing a nice hour walk and then walking to the King’s Arm’s for tea (defo recommend this if it’s sunny as you can sit and eat & drink by the river) The area is very peaceful and they have a lovely place which is great for couples. Enjoyed a lovely hot bath after a long walk & found the bed comfy. Great place if you’re into walking or just want somewhere to switch off from the world! Thank you again.

Shelly was a fantastic host—warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive. The house was easy to find, though Apple Maps led us slightly past the location. She greeted us kindly and had thoughtfully left cookies, coffee, tea, and other essentials, which was a lovely touch. The place was spotless, and the bathroom was well-stocked with shampoo and conditioner (though a body wash would’ve been a nice addition). Shelly and her husband were both friendly and genuine, and their two lovely dogs added to the charm of the stay. The cleaning fee felt a bit on the higher side, but honestly, it doesn’t take away from how great the experience was. Highly recommended!

A beautiful place to stay, spotlessly clean, responsive friendly host, and everything you could possibly need for an amazing break away. Also very child friendly! We stayed with our 4 month old and the property had everything we needed!
