Vacation rentals with a fireplace in New York

Mark’s little cottage was absolutely awesome. It was authentic in every way. We had everything we needed. Mark was extremely proactive. We hope to have the opportunity to stay there again when visiting our son who just moved to the area. It literally is a must see!

House was comfortable and worked well for the five of us. Pete responded quickly to the few questions we had. Would definitely stay again!!!

I love space, I feel at home. 10/10 I would recommend.

Very clean and conveniently located apartment. Both the bed in the bedroom and the foldout were comfortable (the foldout is a little tricky to figure out: you have to pull the ottoman out and then incline the back of the couch, but it also nice to sit and watch tv with just the ottoman out). The space was clean and well laid out.

Carlos’s place is great 👍 sparkling clean and new stuff with high technology. Lots of good furnitures, big TVs. Nice big shower head… Carlos is a very nice host. Very responsive, easy to communicate, always available when you need help.

Fabulous getaway, beautiful surroundings, hard to believe we were just a few minutes from highways and downtown and civilization! Responsive host, many amenities -- pool, bbq, outdoor dining, waterfall, river view, soaking tub, sun loungers, spacious kitchen, dreamy sofa.

Communicative host, beautiful space.

A perfect place for our 10 girlfriends, a HUGE beautiful kitchen and rooftop where we could all snack and relax. Bedrooms were spacious and beds were extremely comfortable. Rainfall shower was exactly what we needed after a long day in the city. Hosts were extremely friendly and so easy to get in touch with prior especially as a planner. Parking is Jersey City parking BUT we got a spot easily. 10/10 would recommend and would love to stay again!

First of all, I would like to mention that the host is incredibly kind! Due to an emergency, I checked in a day later than planned. I simply communicated this with the host, and she made sure I received a refund for that night. ❤️ - Easy Access to NYC: The location offers convenient access to New York City via the 123 bus. - Cozy and Beautifully Decorated: The Airbnb is cozy, and the host has put a lot of thought into decorating it beautifully. - Well-Equipped Kitchen: There are plenty of kitchen supplies and equipment. The host even provided basic groceries and lots of delicious snacks. - Coffee Heaven: There’s a variety of coffee-making apparatus, different syrups and flavors. - Scenic Location: There’s a lake right in front of the house, which is perfect for walking and offers amazing views of Manhattan. There are also plenty of spots just a 2–3 minute walk away to see the city skyline. - One downside is that the sofa bed maybe a bit uncomfortable.

Our stay in North Bergen at Mabel's place was fantastic. This is an adorable, clean and comfortable apartment with safe parking (not on the street) and very easy access to New York City. Mabel is an outstanding host. Not only is she friendly and helpful, but she responds almost immediately when messaged. I had questions about getting to New York by bus, and she responded right away with details and a map. She also was proactive in providing lots of good information before the trip and reaching out on the day of check-in to offer help if needed. Mabel should be a model for other hosts in how to communicate with guests!

In the last ten years (12 trips) we have stayed in 8 Airbnb's and it by far is one of the most enjoyable we have found. Spotlessly clean, easy entry, nice and quiet neighborhood, and exactly as Jacqueline described. Pre-stay communication was excellent and the entry to the space was very easy and not stressful at all. Jacqueline provided specific instructions of how to get in and her expectations of us while we were there and what to do when vacating. None of it was out of the ordinary. As far as getting around, it is the best we have stayed at. Very easy walking distance to multiple subway lines (G train 1/2 block, C train 5 minutes, and Barklay Center / Atlantic Terminal 20 minutes away). There are plenty of food stores for supplies within easy walking distance and a wonderful small diner for breakfast about a fifteen minute walk. Our entire stay we felt safe and definitely recommend Jacqueline's space for your stay. We are so happy that we found it. Thanks Jacqueline!

We felt very comfortable in Cecia's apartment. The apartment was very clean and as shown in the pictures. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Communication was quick and friendly and we got a lot of valuable tips from her and her husband. From JFK Airport it was about 2 hours by public transport to the apartment. To get to Manhattan, there are several bus lines, the stops are 2 to 10 minutes away. Near the apartment, there are also many restaurants and bakeries, as well as supermarkets. Thanks for the wonderful stay. :-)

The location is just what we were looking for with our stay. Walkable and close to transport. And quiet for such a central location. Yes the place is very small for 4 people but workable if you are use to sharing a space with each other. The extra mattress made the couch comfortable enough for our adult daughters to share.

It was a very nice stay. I would stay at Elysian Vacation Rentals again. Very convenient with transportation just at steps.

If you want to stay in a spacious, beautiful, quiet space outside of the city, this is a great option and beats the price of anything comparable in NYC even with the commute. I’m thrilled we decided to go with this stylish, Victorian, luxurious place.

We enjoyed our stay here and it was comfortable for us to sleep 4 people. The bedrooms were nice and bathroom recently updated. We experienced some loud noise from the above neighbors on a Sunday morning but other than that it was quite. There is a nice washer and dryer with detergent that we used too. It was also nice to be close to Pershing field park and not far to get on the PATH train into NYC.

Everything about our stay was great! The home was comfortable, beautiful, clean, unique, as described, with amazing views! We would definitely stay here again when coming to the City. Alex was a very responsive host from the very first contact. All of our questions were answered within minutes. I would recommend this home and working with Alex any time!

Linyan was an incredible host! Not only was she friendly and helpul, she even surprised us with a cake and presents for my daughter's 5th birthday while we were there! Truly a wonderful place to stay with a great host. 10/10 would recommend and stay again!

staying here for the second time, and felt very peaceful, comfy and spacious place like the first time. the host adjusted as I had to check in early. this place has all the amenities that one will need washer/dryer, microwave, refrigerator. Will stay here again if I have to.
