Rent kayaks or tubes, or bring your own and On The Water will shuttle you back to your vehicle. They are just 3 miles away. Town of Floyd is 12 miles away where you can find local restaurants, art galleries, boutiques, and live music. Visit Floyd's Moonshine Distillery or Brewery in town. The Blue Ridge Parkway is 15 miles away for scenic drives, hiking, biking, and winery tours.

Bears Playground, a Wilderness Retreat

I have a glamping yurt tent on 3 acres, perfect for family camping vacations. The sunsets and sunrises are glorious. Very peaceful. The site is in a field on a small goat farm on 80 acres. The campsite has no running water or electricity, but potable water is available. There are walking paths to walk in the woods and around the farm. The farm has 2 donkeys, 20 goats, a flock of chickens, and 3 very friendly dogs. You are welcome to come see the animals in the barn . Just let me know!

Yarden Tent

The Yarden Tent is surrounded by our beautiful garden area and fenced in yard, with sunset views over a quaint cow pasture, home to 2 friendly cows. It's lovingly furnished with a comfy queen sized bed, rugs and seating, with power and lights provided by a solar charged battery. While this site is located within our yard, it has privacy provided by large trees. We ask that you park at our front gate then walk about 100 yards to your site. Our pup Walnut is friendly and inquisitive.

Just a short walk to the unique "ShoutHouse" (outdoor shower + restroom) with hot water, sink and composting toilets. Lamps and charging stations inside the tent are powered by solar.
