Farmstay vacation rentals in New River Valley

The place was beautiful and private with great views and not too far away. Linda & Michael were wonderful. They were very nice, helpful and ready to meet any need to make our stay relaxing and memorable. We look forward to going back in the future.

This was the perfect place to relax and and unwind after an eventful day of commencement at Liberty University. My family and I loved all aspects of this amazingly-renovated barn. The property was absolutely stunning! So much to explore. We hope to come back for a longer stay in the future. Thank you Nicole for being a great host!

Very nice. Antiques. Front porch with swing, loveseat, table & chairs. Enjoyed several meals on front porch. House well supplied with pillows, blankets & towels. We cooked our meals onsite. Kitchen had dishes, pans, utensils, spices, everything we needed to prepare the food we brought in. Very peaceful. Beautiful. We plan to to be return guests. Recommending to others. Enjoyable stay. Warren's place was great - very cozy, clean, & comfortable! Communication was good with the host & check-in was easy with a keypad. Only issue we had was that it was a little tricky to find. Warren sent directions, but the road is easy to overlook & we missed it the first time around!

This cabin was beautiful! It was private and getting away from the world by having no internet was what we needed! The host was very knowledgeable in and I loved learning all about its history.

We’ve stayed at Mark of Design many times! We enjoy the beautiful & peaceful setting of the horse farm. In addition to watching the horses in the fields, we saw deer, wild turkeys & rabbits. It is also very convenient for restaurants in downtown Hillsville, as well as nearby Galax & Mt Airy.

Stayed here for a weekend getaway with a best friend who lives out of state along with our 7 children. It was a wonderful place to just hang back and relax. Lots of space for kids to hang out, they especially loved the massive second story deck with room for games. The views are phenomenal and the fire pit out front was a definite hit, we came prepared with s’mores supplies. Beds were comfortable, place was very clean, kitchen was well stocked with all supplies. The closeness was Stone Mount State Park was especially convenient. Steve was also a wonderful host, always quick to respond and was even totally understanding of a hiccup in our check-out. Would definitely stay here again!

Over the course of just a few days, the silo is now easily one of my favorite vacation locations! The space is entirely unique - crafted from an existing silo into a livable space; tranquil, peaceful - every relaxing synonym you can think of encapsulates this space. Karen is an extremely accommodating and friendly host - she goes above and beyond to ensure you have a perfect stay. An added bonus if there are other guests staying in her other accommodations. I loved all of the interactions! The stay at the silo was simply the perfect weekend that I will forever cherish.

Recommend this cozy cabin to all of you who is looking for a peaceful and beautiful surroundings on top of the mountain. Trails are not far away, same with a grocery store’s. Plenty of space to play with a family or just walk around in the morning cloud while drinking coffee. High clearance vehicle is mandatory to get there.

This was a lovely little house for a short stay. There were animals that you could see out the back window and everything was clean and comfortable! They had a loop driveway so it was easy to get in and out. We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice country cabin, comfortable and peaceful. Family felt right at home in spacious home, back patios best place to chill and enjoy the forested yard.. well equipped kitchen to keep everyone fed. Thanks to Steven for a great place to stay, he was attentive without being intrusive. Wish we could have stay longer.

Very relaxing, cute cabin in the woods, with comfortable beds, peaceful and beautiful surroundings, we used the firepit and relaxed in the river nearby, easy to find with David's clear instructions, very sweet and friendly dogs that hung out with us, easy to get to Roanoke/ Salem and mountains, David is very responsive, friendly, helpful

We stayed here with friends for a wedding and were conveniently close to the venue in Rocky Mount. Very clean house. Very comfortable to stay in.

The Copper Buffalo A-Frame was a wonderful place to stay for our weekend getaway to attend a wedding. We had plenty of space, the house was clean and well stocked and the views are breathtaking! We took lots of photos :-) Thank you for letting us stay in your majestic place.

Stayed May 26-June 1. Perfect cabin for 4 people. We drove our RAM truck hauling 2 Harley bikes. The yard is big enough to accommodate. The driveway is gravel but it wasn’t too uphill. We encountered few problems and Ms. Jill answered all our questions and helped with the situation. She’s a phenomenal host! She’s very responsive, and accommodating to our issues. Complete amenities. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. We did brought our own ( we always do). We cooked breakfast for three days and cooked some steaks on the griddle outside on our 2nd night. Washed our clothes, laundry supplies provided. Great WiFi connection. We rode our bikes to the mountains. If you love to ride, you won’t regret staying here! 5 star review. Definitely recommended!

This was our second time staying at the creek side cabin and we absolutely love it here! The owners are always so helpful and respond very quickly! We will definitely come back!!

Catherine’s place is a wonderful slice of Carolina goodness. There were plenty of toys, blankets, towels, kitchen supplies & utensils, and overall comfy cozy vibes. Mt. Airy was a quick drive & so cute. Will definitely be staying again.

My family had a wonderful time on, “the farm” as my boys kept calling the place. We went to celebrate Mother’s Day and enjoyed a tranquil weekend together. We loved having our meals next to the horses and finishing off one of our evenings next to the fire roasting s’mores. As for the area, we hiked the nearby state park which added to our experience.

We loved The Farmhouse! The home is beautiful and welcoming. It was so peaceful sitting on the porches. I wish we could have stayed longer. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. We saw sunrises from the front porch and even saw a rainbow. The cows in the fields were so much fun to watch and you can see them from the windows. The big yard was nice to walk around. The home is decorated so nice. It is the perfect getaway. Thank you Peggy. She was fantastic!

My fiance and I were able to book the cabin for a last minute weekend getaway. The house was very clean, cute and perfect for what we needed. Our dog enjoyed the big fenced in yard, and we enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. We had everything we needed to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner (bring your own seasonings though), and got restful sleep! We were beyond grateful to enjoy this home for the weekend! The biggest complaints on the reviews are the wifi and the driveway... we didn't have any issues with either personally.. but if you're afraid to get your car dirty or need to work the whole trip, maybe pick something closer to town.. otherwise its perfect to unplug and unwind!

What a great location! Very beautiful and serene, yet close to 81, markets, etc. There are no windows or natural light in the living space, so we just spent all our time sitting at the bar at the window - and what a view!! It changes all day long, as the sun shifts across the sky, and the horses are like jewels on the landscape. We sat outside late at night and enjoyed the stars and fireflies. The space was very clean and comfortable, John was available and welcoming, We're very glad to have stayed at his home.

Great views of Pilot Mountain. House was just what we were looking for the weekend. Big yard for play. Close to trailhead parking for several trails in and around pilot mountain.

The place is beautiful and will definitely go back.
