Our second home is a mix of mid-century modern and "cabin in the woods." It sits on 2 heavily wooded acres and backs up to a mountainside with rock outcroppings. The main living area (living room, dining area, and kitchen) is raised about 4 steps, and the bedroom and bath areas are on the main level. There is one large bathroom with a shower. There is an electric fireplace surrounded by ledge stone in front of the u-shaped built-in sofa. There is abundant reading material & 2 TV's.

The house is very nice, it looks exactly like the pictures, or even better. It was delivered spotlessly clean, with clear instructions and all the home apparel needed. Mamie has been constantly available and responsive for the (few and minor) issues that raised during our stay, while giving full privacy. Definitely worth staying in this beautiful historic property if you are travelling in this area.

A large four-poster bed with a tufted black fabric frame is positioned at the center of the room. Light-colored bedding contrasts with the dark upholstery. A small side table rests beside the bed, and potted greenery is placed nearby. A cozy sofa is positioned in the corner of the room.

Do not pass by this gem. This place was so charming. It was spacious and clean. The decor is nice. I told the Host that we were celebrating a milestone. Her thoughtfulness made our day even better. Next time I am in the Huntsville area, I will stay here again.

We had a great stay. The house is lovely and is furnished comfortably and stocked very thoughtfully with all the odds and ends you might need. It’s so convenient for visiting my family in Meridianville, which doesn’t have any hotels to speak of, so it’s perfect for us.

The entryway is characterized by a charming yellow door, framed by white wooden supports and a matching awning. Windows on either side allow natural light to brighten the area. A simple outdoor light fixture hangs above the door, contributing to the welcoming appearance.

Perfect location for a trip to Huntsville. Beautiful fully renovated home. It almost felt like we were the first ones to stay in a new build. Check in was easy and the locks worked perfectly. The animals were amazing and the setting is beautiful just outside of the city. Trains do run all day/night with their horns but the quality of the windows really cuts down on the noise. Would’ve given 5/5 for cleanliness but a kcup was left in the coffee, closet of the workout room had food in it and I had to hand wash some pans before using them due to some grease spots on them from the dishwasher not getting the pans 100% clean. I would 100% recommend staying here and would stay here again.

This was a wonderful stay in this cozy neighborhood, our host Meagan was friendly and helpful, the house was clean, spacious, beds were comfy and we had a lovely view of the cows from the farm bordering the backyard. We will definitely book again for next year!
