Casa Castagna - living between truffles and the sea

Sabine SkjødtRating, 5 stars23 months ago
Maybe the best airbnb we've ever stayed in. This was our first trip to Croatia, and what a place. Nicole's house is beautifully secluded in a small village overlooking the fields. In the nice 3 story house you have everything you need. Homely surroundings that are beautifully and tastefully decorated in calm colors. Amazing bathroom, great beds and a kitchen that has all the things you need to make a great meal. We really enjoyed our time here. If you prefer quiet surroundings this place is perfect. From the house there are many good destinations as well as restaurants on Istria. Among other things, we were on truffle hunting, visiting many great beaches for snorkeling and nature parks. In the area there are many good restaurants that Nicole has made a guide to, but it is worth highlighting Stara Skola where we had the most wonderful evening. Nicole was great in her communication and we got a lot of good advice along the way. All in all a very memorable stay. We hope to return. Kh Sabine and Co.

Villa Stanzia Sparagna

The villa was absolutely perfect – even more beautiful than in the photos. If you’re looking for a peaceful and private oasis to relax with family or friends, this is the place to be. Luca, the host, was always available, responded immediately to any questions, and was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There are some lovely restaurants and wineries nearby, but honestly, we spent most of our time at the villa – it was just that stunning. We’ve never stayed at an Airbnb that was so well-equipped; the kitchen had absolutely everything you could need. We truly have nothing negative to say – everything exceeded our expectations, and we’re already looking forward to our next stay.
A spacious bathroom features a long stone vanity with two sinks made from natural materials. A large mirror hangs above, reflecting soft lighting. Below, woven baskets filled with neatly rolled towels are placed on wooden shelves, adding a touch of warmth to the minimalist design.

Casa Ars Natura II

A Magical Stay in the Heart of Grožnjan! I've stayed at Airbnbs all over the world, and this place is easily one of the best I've experienced. The beautifully designed and decorated apartment, set in the heart of this enchanting medieval town, is truly magical and incredibly romantic. The upstairs bedroom, complete with a luxurious tub, feels like a dream. The attention to detail is remarkable—nothing about this space feels like a rental. It’s clear the owners spared no expense in making it special. From start to finish, everything was flawless. The communication was seamless, and the warm welcome, felt right at home. A bonus for those arriving by car: secured parking is available, which is a rare and much-appreciated feature in this area where parking can be tricky. It might sound like I’m gushing, but I promise I’m not exaggerating! I can’t imagine anyone giving this place less than 5 stars. Part of me wants to keep it a secret, but that wouldn't be fair, it deserves mention.

Villa Motovun Luxury and beauty

VanessaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Villa Motovun is one of the most beautiful houses we’ve stayed in. The house has been renovated with such care to detail, it has kept the traditional character but is completely modernised with all amenities you would need. We loved the colour schemes, the materials used. It was so comfortable, with many seating areas, very comfortable, large beds (super important!), every room with en-suite bathroom. The views from the terrace of the Mirna valley and Groznjan in the distance are stunning. We loved having the little heated pool, the sauna and the pool table. The local wine ‘mini bar’ was also nice and we could help ourselves to a bottle of local Malvasia or Teran. All in all a gem in a beautiful medieval hilltop town, walkable to some really good restaurants serving amongst other things, local homemade pasta with truffles, or wild asparagus in the spring. Thank you Zeljko for your hospitality. We hope to be back again soon.
