Close to other popular beaches such as Robe and Beachport. Southend is adjacent to the Canunda National Park for 4WD enthusiasts. Southend is perfect for fishing, sailing, swimming or just lazing on the beach. A surf beach is situated between Southend and Beachport. Southend has a small shop that is licensed and sells basic groceries. It has a takeaway fish and chip shop open weekends (6 days during summer).There is a local community club open weekends (open for meals in summer).Restaurants and other shopping is available in Beachport and Millicent, both a short drive away. We would like to stress this property is our own beach house. It is not resort standard accommodation. There isn't any air conditioning only fans and basic heating. Our pricing reflects this. It should be viewed as a comfortable base for exploring the area and other activities : fishing, boating, surfing and 4 wheel driving.

Stepping into Bourne St Homestead instantly feels like a home away from home. It’s set in lovely quiet area and kept in immaculate condition. A charming, heritage listed property situated in the heart of Penola. Built by Alexander Cameron in 1869, it is within walking distance to the Main Street of Penola, giving easy access to restaurants, hotels, cafes and the historical Petticoat Lane. The cottage backs onto a family friendly town square, playground and public pool with plenty of room for your children to play. Dogs are welcome - larger dog owners please note that the fence is only 90cm high.

Bear Cottage - Natural wonders

Bear Cottage is a self-contained 2 bedroom cottage and has a nice slow combustion fire fitted in the lounge area and lovely feature wall of Native Australian pine. The bathroom has a shower over bath and is fitted out with red cedar and Blackwood. The cottage is Tim and Pam's eclectic mix of antiques' wood, bears and a touch of art deco. PS. The maximum guests incl. children is 6. Airbnb give us no way of listing max. number of people, only adults.
