The host's home is very comfortable and tidy, there is a large garden outside, blooming with a variety of beautiful flowers, the environment is beautiful and comfortable, when I arrived at the homestay, the owner warmly greeted me, detailed the various facilities of the home, whether it was the guest room, bathroom and the toilet facilities are very warm feeling, full of home feeling, the host's breakfast is very informative, it is the most delicious food I had in Okinawa, that is the taste of mother's house. This is very impressive, I look forward to staying again next time

The accommodation is very well equipped and has its own separate kitchen. The neighborhood is conveniently located within walking distance to a convenience store, supermarkets and restaurants. Although it is a bit far from Naha city center, it is accessible by bus. Hidemi is very kind. Although I don't speak Japanese, she tried her best to introduce me to the accommodation information and was always to help. This trip made me feel the warm connection between people again and made me have an unforgettable trip to Okinawa.

The B&B has convenient transportation. You can walk to Zakimi Castle and Ceramic Street. You can take a bus to Cape Zanpa. It's convenient to take a bus. The station is very close. You can walk there. The supermarket is within walking distance. There are free bicycles, a kitchen to cook, a music traveler's homestay, the owner is a music enthusiast, he can play the erhu, and can teach you how to play the erhu for free. The Host is willing to help, makes a different breakfast every day, and when I arrived and left, the station was far from the residence, the Host drove me for free, and helped me buy a sanxian.

I stayed two nights with my 2-year and 10-month-old daughter. It was my first trip with my partner, and my first Airbnb, so I was nervous the whole time, but Etsuko, her husband, and daughter were very warm and kind, and it was a treasure to have stayed here and met them. The room is so cute that it feels like you're stepping into the world of a picture book, and my daughter is having a blast. The whole house, including the garden, was a wonderful space, and it was so nice that I wanted to live there (* 'ω' *) My daughter has allergies, but they were happy to accommodate her, and the breakfast service was so luxurious that I was more than grateful and filled with happiness. Sorry for the late review. But even two weeks after the trip, I still feel as if I have relatives in Okinawa. It was the first time I felt this way on a trip, and I was really happy to be able to come to Okinawa to make memories before my child turns 3, and to stay at Etsuko's house.✨✨ Thank you again for your hospitality for 2 nights and 3 days. Thank you for all the love. Next, I'm dreaming of staying a little longer to learn how to cook like Etsuko.♡

Kaz's home was the perfect spot for our party of 8. We felt right at home and could walk to the train station or Kokusaidoori for lots of eating and shopping options. The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful and Kaz was an excellent host. When we return to Okinawa we will definitely check Kaz's home first for availability!

Double Japanese Tatami Room Tropical Surf House

We spent over a week with Francesco and it was a great stay. Francesco knows the island well and had good advice where to do some snorkeling and surfing. His surf and snorkeling equipment is in a good condition. When we needed some help with renting a car, he was very encouraging and helped us a lot. Totally recommended if you want to spent your days in Okinawa with some water activities. Cheers Hannah & Paul

Stay with Okinawa Locals.

HavenRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Ryo & Akiko are the most ideal host that you'd like to have - warm, fun, and helpful. They are genuinely curious about who you are and where you're from and have a lot of empathy, love and inner peace, which I treasure a lot. Ryo's English is too good to be Japanese lol, super communicative yet respectful. Akiko is so sweet and caring. I appreciate her food and all of our conversations :) Also they have the calmest dog ever - she's adorable and likes human massage. If you are looking for genuine human interaction rather doing all the touristy thing, it's a good idea to slow down and spend some time here just to feel at home.

for you

A Soul-Soothing Stay Surrounded by Nature We spent a truly enriching week at Sumiko’s house, nestled in the peaceful nature of Motobu. At night, we fell asleep to the sound of frogs and insects, and each morning I woke up to birdsong. It was the perfect escape, where time seemed to slow down and the stresses of everyday life gently faded away. One of the absolute highlights was the breakfast that Sumiko prepared every morning. Made with seasonal/local ingredients and so full of care, each dish was comforting and delicious—it quickly became something we looked forward to every day. The room was spotlessly clean and cozy, and every little detail showed thoughtfulness and hospitality. I felt at home the moment I arrived. If I ever return to Okinawa, I will definitely stay here again. Thank you so much, Sumiko, for such a memorable and restorative stay!
