Great place to stay. Walking distance from Kyoto station, though may be arduous for some people with luggage. Accessible by bus - abt 2 stops away and there’s plenty of buses that can get you around the vicinity. There’s a Lawson nearby so it was easy to get snacks, drinks etc. Peaceful and quiet neighbourhood. The room is a typical size in Japan but we loved that it was clean, well-maintained and we had access to Netflix on TV! There is no cooking space; only a shared microwave in the corridor and a coffee machine at L1. Hosts were extremely helpful and detailed with their instructions 👍 Thank you so much!

Beautiful home! We very much enjoyed spending time relaxing in the back garden area, listening to the rain and drinking tea. Absolutely everything you could want is provided, which was so appreciated because we were traveling light. The home itself is filled with wonderful unique art and was just a pleasure to be in. It is a very convenient location for tourists visiting Uji for many days and for fans of Kyoto who want to visit the sacred sites!The location is right next to Uji Bridge, and across the river is Uji Shrine and Mt. Daikiji, it's close to everywhere!Other than that, although it is a homestay and a shared bathroom, it is fully equipped and very clean, and convenient to use!In addition, the Host was also very friendly at check-in, but I don't speak Japanese and my English is not good, but I understood by body language.Overall, a good experience!
