Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Nagano

This may be the nicest Airbnb we have ever stayed in. Every detail was accounted for, and our kids never wanted to leave. It’s right next to a little park we enjoyed. One tip for any families or anyone on a budget, rent a car! It would have been much easier to get around. But our hosts were unbelievable, left us treats, drinks, and a fresh watermelon after our first night! Would recommend to anyone

Our family of four loved our stay at Aishi's place. The place was huge and even had a covered porch to sit on to enjoy the mountain views. The bedrooms were good sized and having multiple bathrooms was appreciated. There were even two full sinks with vanity mirrors and hair dryers outside of the bathrooms, so people could get ready while others showered. It had one of the best stocked kitchens we've come across in 7+ months of travel. Any pot, pan, dish or utensil we needed was there. There was also plenty of parking available. We would highly recommend this stay to anyone visiting Hakuba.

I love every bit of David’s place. It is located in the peaceful neighbourhood of Joēi, which you can see Mt. Fuji on a clear day. The house is spacious and has everything I need to stay comfortably for a month. There are big supermarket and drug store within walking distance, and with the bike David provided, you can go to a large shopping mall and pretty much all living necessities within 15 min. David and his wife Naomi are extremely friendly and helpful. Recommended me good restaurants and also useful tips to get around. I enjoyed my stay here very much. I highly recommend this place to other travellers when you want to escape the crowd and experience Japanese rural lifestyle.

家族みんなでとても楽しく滞在する事ができました。またホストの方がすごい優しくぜひ宿泊して欲しいです。

6月上旬に 50代の女性2人で、1泊しました。 玄関ドアを開けて目にするのは、用意されたスリッパ、ちょっと履いて出られるサンダル。「ようこそ〜」とお迎えされているようで入った瞬間からリラックスできました。 全体的に広々していて、どこも清潔です。 築年数はそれなりに経っていそうですが、気になるような、においもありません。 6月の急に暑くなった日だったので、エアコンを利用しましたが、吹き出す風も清浄ですぐに冷え、快適でした。 キッチンには紅茶やお茶、コーヒーのパックのサービス。 浄水されたお水はほんのり甘みを感じ、おいしかったです。 カウンター下には充電用のケーブルもあり、友人は持ってくるのを忘れていたので、とても喜んでいました。 お風呂とトイレも別、LDKと寝室も別空間にあるので、眠い人は寝て、起きたい人は遠慮なく電気をつけて起きていられるので、お互いにリラックスできました。 キッチンにはたくさん入るショッピングバックがあり、スーパーのツルヤさんに行くときに使わせてもらいました。 こちらもただゲストへのサービスだけにとどまらず、使い捨てを減らすというお気持ちが元にあると知り(お部屋のルートブックを読みました)、さりげなく環境に配慮された工夫がいいなあと思いました。 ゴミの分別のルールもわかりやすく、押しつけがましさもないので、リラックスする中ですっと背が伸びるような感じで協力しようという気持ちになりました。 お手製のイラストマップや自転車の観光案内はとても参考になりました。 (おすすめの「雷滝」は迫力があって、行って本当によかったです！) 立地も便利で、小布施のメインストリートにも、スーパーのツルヤさんにも行けました。おやつを「栗の木テラス」さんからテイクアウト、夕食・朝食をツルヤさんで調達しました。 過ごしていて、とにかくいやな感じがなく、何気ないところまで行き届いていて心地よく過ごせました。 オーナー様のお人柄やゲストへのお心づかいが感じられました。 玄関ドアに直に書かれたOpen、Closeもちょっとしたことですが、ストレスを感じさせない工夫でした。(カギをどちらに回すかって意外と覚えていないんで。) おかげさまで、快適に過ごすことができました。ゆったり、ゆっくり過ごしたい方におすすめです。 ありがとうございました！

Clean and new. Everything well kept. Communication was great and responsive. If the weather was perfect, we could see mt Fuji, however we still saw part of it which still charming. Nice place for staying.

A beautiful home within a short walking distance from the train station. The host was proactive in communicating and very responsive! I recommend this place!

The host is very responsive and kindly allows early check in when the house is ready. This is our 2nd time to stay here, everything is perfect.

We had a great stay at Omusubi. Ryuichi, as everyone else mentioned, is such a helpful and kind host who greeted us personally. He gave us great recommendations and is always responsive when we had questions. The place is a walk away from Cortina and a few mins drive from Norikura, so convenient for skiing. The whole unit is clean and spacious, and the heating is great! The only slightly downside is that the soundproofing isn’t so great, so you’d hear sounds from the next room and outside if there is significant noise. Thankfully the area doesn’t seem to be noisy so we weren’t too affected. Overall it is still an excellent option for the Hakuba area!

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour. Nous ne sommes pas habitués aux futons du coup c'était un peu dur pour dormir et pas très confortable mais ce n'était pas une surprise. Le logement est joli et les chambres nous ont plongé un peu dans un japon traditionnel. La localisation est excellente ! au pied du château, super de s'y promener au réveil, le quartier est ultra calme et enfin cest très proche du lac Suwa! L'hôte est accomodant, arrivée facile, livre avec recommandations. Je recommande vivement ce logement !

Such a homely place! Place was big and there are lots of eateries around. Everything was perfect. Many facilities were provided which helped us a lot eg usage of washing machine. Will come again when I visit Matsumoto.

Wonderful stay! Place was clean, bed was super comfortable and shower was hot and huge! Was also very convenient having a washing machine and dryer. Would definitely stay again. 👍🏼

Was so impressed with our accommodation it was perfect, with great location, beautiful views, and it accommodated all our needs. would definitely come back here to stay and would highly recommend.

The cabin was a little secluded with small roads. But very beautiful surroundings and still near the main attractions. Great privacy and very well appointed accommodation. Highly recommend!

I could not recommend Villa Monochrome enough! Yasue was so helpful the whole time of our stay, she picked us up and dropped us off at the bus terminal for arrival and departure and even drove us to get groceries. She was helpful during our stay and really made us feel at home. The accommodation was beautiful and well equipped and the location is fantastic for snowsports at Happo One. Will definitely be staying again! Special mention for the Kotatsu (heated) table. That was such a lovely treat after a day on the mountain. 10/10 for Villa Monochrome.

ホストさんの人の温かさが素晴らしいです。 困ったことがあればすぐに対応してもらえました。 普段全国のヴィラやコテージを趣味で回ってるのですが このクオリティでこの価格は良い意味であり得ないと思ってます。 BBQを手ぶらで利用するためには+4500円 焚き木を楽しむには+2500円 掛かりますが、近くのホームセンターや持参もOKとのことです。 BBQセットは自由ですので炭などと食材を持っていけばオプション料金かからずすぐにできますね 大きな半露天風呂つきです 大人4人は入れます。キレイでした。 出来立ての宿泊施設で英語表記も完璧。 ここは近いうちに人気になりそうだと思います じゃらんや一休にも載せたら予約で埋まりそうだと思います(余計なおせっかいかもしれませんがw) 本当に素晴らしいご対応ありがとうございました

My kid and I had a great 4-night stay at the corner house. The location is perfect, peaceful yet close to restaurants, stores, and onsens. The well-stocked kitchen made meal prep a joy. It truly made our visit to Nozawaonsen extra special, a real gem!
