Our apartment is located in Hohegeiß, a district of Braunlage. Hohegeiß is centrally located in the Harz Mountains at 640 meters above sea level. It is a place of relaxation for vacationers seeking peace and quiet. In summer, it is ideal for hiking and mountain biking. In winter, ski resorts are available in the village and nearby. There are excursion possibilities, for example, to Goslar, Wernigerode and Quedlinburg. The guest fee of €3.00/night for adults is charged in cash on site.

One free parking space is available right by the house.

Not far from us is a tram stop, a shopping market and the indoor swimming pool. The old town of Nordhausen and the parks are a 5-minute walk. The quiet terrace by the house overlooking the Zorge River can also be used.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was just as described – clean, cozy and lovingly furnished. We especially liked the quiet location and the small loving details that made the stay very pleasant. The contact with the host was uncomplicated, warm and very helpful – we felt completely comfortable and welcome. We will be happy to come back and we highly recommend this place!

We visited for the second time and would go 222 more times. The house is very nice, fully equipped, clean and lovingly furnished, we felt at home again. The hosts are super nice and also happy to help, have once again given us valuable tips. The surroundings are beautiful, within 10-100 km there is an incredible amount to see and explore, if you want to see and experience everything you should stay at least a week. At this point, we would like to thank Adelheid and her husband and look forward to summer 2026 ;).

Unfortunately, we had to shorten our stay for health reasons, nevertheless, we really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was easy to reach due to the description given by Andreas, once there we were received by Andreas, he showed us the apartment and gave us a folder with hiking routes and possible activities in the area. The apartment was as shown in the pictures and very clean and tidy. They felt right at home there. Communication with Andreas was always friendly and uncomplicated. All in all, definitely a recommendation if you want to vacation in the region.😄

A very great, clean cottage. We particularly enjoyed the sun terrace and the quiet location. The house offers everything you need. Unfortunately, we only spent one night in the beautiful tiny house of Holger and Grit because we were invited to a wedding. You could have stayed longer. It was super nice, cozy and quiet. Everything was very well maintained and clean. There are shopping facilities nearby, but you don't notice the hustle and bustle of the city. We didn't miss anything and we had an excellent stay. Highly recommended!!
