Cabin vacation rentals in Mount Desert

We had a great time, nice tucked away cabin, hot tub was fantastic, and the space is super cute. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.

A beautiful rustic cabin in an amazing spot. Lori is a great host and is always near in her farmhouse to communicate and get you what you need. Appleton is not far from Camden / Rockland but has that rustic getaway feel. The option of adding a wonderful soak in the hot tub, wood fired sauna, massage and breakfast are available as well. We loved our stay at this charming lakeside cabin! The perfect blend of rustic appeal and modern comforts made it an ideal getaway. While it felt authentically cozy and tucked away, the thoughtful amenities—like reliable Wi-Fi, flatscreen TVs, and an easy-to-use coffee machine—made our trip stress-free and enjoyable. The outdoor hot tub was an absolute hit, especially situated right next to the fire pit—there's nothing quite like soaking under the stars after roasting marshmallows by the campfire. Mornings were just as memorable, sipping coffee from the swinging bench overlooking a truly stunning lake view. The location was also ideal, just a short drive from fun eateries in Bar Harbor and the beautiful trails of Acadia National Park, offering us plenty of opportunities for exploration. The hosts were fantastic, quickly responding to all our questions and making us feel right at home. We highly recommend this spot!

Beautiful house that was perfect for me, my husband, and 2 kids. The dock access is great - there's a bait shop closeby (Old Town Trading Post) where we got some fishing poles and bait. My son loved fishing everyday and we took the canoes out around the pond. The house has life vests too which was perfect for the kids. The dock has 2 chairs on it already. We used the screened in porch to watch the birds (and not get bitten by mosquitos). Make sure you bring/buy bug spray in the warmer months and an eye mask if you're a light sleeper. The sun rises quite early (5am) in the summer and the bedrooms are on the second floor and get a lot of light. We used the hot tub every day - the house has tons of towels for the 4 bathrooms and hot tub. There's a grocery store (Hannaford) about 20 minutes away. We hiked in Acadia National Park one day - it's about a 1.5 hour drive. A great house and location if you love being outside!

Everything was clean and exactly like the pictures. 10 out of 10 would stay again.

There is not a corner of this place that I would describe as boring! Everything was perfect and exactly how we imagined. Host was always communicative, helpful, and accommodating through the entirety of our stay. I hope to get the opportunity to come back! 10/10

Great little kitchen and everything needed to cook any meal, nice linens, pretty bathroom, and a variety of thoughtful touches. Peaceful, sweet, and missing nothing.

I wish I could give this place and host more than 5 stars! Deirdre was incredibly sweet and extremely fast to respond to any questions we had. The cabin was cozy, clean, and just what we were looking for! Our trip revolved around hiking Acadia NP, and while this Airbnb was about an hour drive to the main part of the park, it was WELL worth it. It was away from the busyness and very quiet peaceful and private. Plus it’s only about 15 mins to the Schoodic peninsula! There’s a small path to some rocks you can sit on and relax by the ocean, which after a long day of hiking was perfect! Bonus- We were able to see the northern lights from there!! All in all this place was 10/10 and I highly recommend. If I ever get the chance to return to Maine, I would absolutely love to stay here again!!

Our stay at Blackberry cottage was wonderful — very convenient for visiting Acadia. Suzanne is very sweet, responsive, and helpful (and makes beautiful artwork)!

stunning in the fall. feels very private even though it's next to other cabins. chairs in the back are awesome for view of falling leaves and woods. walkable to sandy point beach, but easy drive if necessary. amazing places to eat and shop in Belfast and surrounding area. we had an amazing trip.

We had a great time at Lupine Tiny Cabin! We came here to visit Acadia NP and relax, and this met our expectations! The cabin was very comfortable and cozy, the lakefront was beautiful and peaceful, and everything was very clean and put together. Our host was very communicative and helpful, which we appreciated. The only helpful info I have to share is that Acadia NP is more like 45 mins to 1 hour 15 mins away from the cabin, as the park is very big and the main entrance is further away, so if Acadia is what you are coming for just keep that in mind as you are planning. Also, if you are not coming in the summer, the cabin has heating but it gets quite cold at night so make sure you bring some extra layers/heated blankets. Overall we had a great stay. Thank you!

This was one of the most amazing Airbnb stays we have ever had. The A frame cabin has ALL THE CHARM. The back porch and forrest felt like a movie scene. It was cozy and nostalgic. It was so much more than I expected!

Connor was an AMAZING host! From the very beginning, he was always very responsive, and was consistently available to answer my questions promptly. His cabin on the lake was so cozy, it truly felt like our home away from home. It was beautifully decorated, peaceful, serene, well-stocked with anything that one could need. His recommendations were extensive and were very much appreciated. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and really loved being able to stay there with friends for a few days before departing for another excursion. It gave us time to celebrate and make some great memories with them - something that we will always treasure! The worst thing about this cabin? - Having to leave it in the rearview mirror! I had the most magical time at Judith's cottage. Her land truly feels like a tangible expression of love, warmth, and safety. If you're looking for a refuge that encourages restoration and quality time with nature, this is the perfect place. It was amazing to explore the nature and local recommendations Judith shared, and having the cottage as a space to just rest, read, journal, and enjoy the surroundings was perfect. I highly recommend this cottage, Judith is deeply kind, friendly, and will go out of her way to make you feel at home!

Spent a relaxing long weekend at the cabin. Idyllic location right on the water with plenty to do outside. We enjoyed making fires, fishing, and exploring in the canoe. Inside, the cabin was thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable. Camden is nearby for a nice dinner or a stroll and shopping downtown. Acadia is also close enough for a day trip. Checkin/checkout was very straightforward, and the host was helpful and quick to answer any questions. Hope to visit again!

Beautiful and peaceful setting. We took advantage and had lobster on the picnic table overlooking the beautiful cove. Enjoyed swimming and watching sunsets. Ended up having a great dinner at Blaze. Host was so responsive with any questions we had. Would definitely stay again.

Anne’s place is a quiet little gem on Mount Desert Island. It was plenty spacious for four people with both indoor and outdoor areas to relax. It’s a perfect spot to stay if you are visiting Acadia and the surrounding area. We would definitely stay here again!

We felt right at home! Beautiful space and surroundings, comfortable and convenient amenities. We were looking for somewhere to stay with an EV charger to get out to Acadia for a couple of days. That worked out perfectly. Fun to hear the peepers and a Barred Owl at night! Big thank you to Eric and Erin for a great stay.

We loved our stay in Lily's Gypsy Wagon. The wagon was comfy and cozy. The location was breathtaking and we enjoyed the sights and sounds of nature all around us. The campsite had everything we needed including plenty of seating, a wood deck, a firepit and a grill tucked into the trees but overlooking the water. The beach provides an amazing view of the Islands of Acadia national park, and was in a constant state of transformation as the tide came in and out. Our stay was exactly what we needed to relax and recharge. Thanks Lily!

We absolutely loved the cabin. Every day I would do my morning meditation on the porch and sit out there for a good hour listening and smelling the beautiful air. There's so much to do in the area. It was a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary.

We had such an amazing stay at the Little G! The cottage was absolutely perfect: squeaky clean, peaceful, cozy/comfy, and had ALL the essentials. Terri & Tim truly thought of everything! Each time we opened another drawer or cabinet, we were surprised to find things we didn't even know we needed! We really enjoyed the tub for two and even the refreshing outdoor shower. Though it stayed in the 40s & 50s for our stay (brrrr), the shower was plenty hot! We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Wonderful cabin! Great use of space and 3 of us felt like we had plenty of room for 3 days. Amazing deck overlooking the forest.

This cabin is really nice for two people and very well laid out - the bathroom is private, we had no problems cooking a simple dinner with the supplies provided, and it was chilly, but the woodstove kept the cabin comfortable. It’s just beautiful too. We loved sitting on the couch and looking out at the river, listening to music, and just having a relaxing weekend.. They leave little treats for you too here, including very high-quality coffee, which is highly appreciated.

The cabin was so peaceful and had everything we needed, I could sit on the screened in patio for hours listening to the rain. Jennifer went above and beyond, even popping over to turn on the heat before we arrived late in the evening so it was nice and warm for us. The location was great for exploring Acadia NP and other parts of Mount Desert. We would love to stay again if we are back in the area.
