“Awesome, cozy, small house! In the heart of the reserve. We relaxed and had a great rest. There is everything you need. The kitchen was equipped with electric hob, toaster, kettle, microwave and fridge, heater. We were able to cook the soup that we had been dreaming about for a long time, while traveling we really want homemade food and comfort. It is unfortunate that they could not stay longer! I would love to come back. A chic option for the money. The place is amazing. The hostess in the evenings feeds the parrots is very nice. The parrots are beautiful and large, it is interesting to watch him.”
The Stable, Kalorama Nestled in a lush rainforest garden within the National Park, the Stable is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful mountain setting. Great for tranquil weekends or romantic nights away to explore all that the Dandenong Ranges has to offer including many wonderful walks and hikes.
“Sweet little cottage with a very cozy comfortable bed! Cafe, local attractions and gallery all within walking distance. Great stop over point for a night or two of exploring the region. Very lovely and responsive host. Loved the extra touches like DVDs, electric fireplace, hot chocolate and beautiful private garden to enjoy.”
Coorabell Retreat is a stunning barn conversion. Situated on a private corner of the property, Coorabell is a contemporary cottage features ceiling to floor windows that take full advantage of the surrounding stunning forest views, huge double spa, high definition LCD TV (that you can watch from the spa) and surround sound music system piped throughout the cottage, an upstairs bedroom with king size bed and separate sitting area, galley kitchen, real log fire, and air conditioning.
“Coorabell Retreat is a fantastic forest getaway and the perfect place to unplug and refresh. This converted barn looks rustic from the outside but provides all modern creature comforts on the inside. William and Penny thoughtfully provided wine and chocolates and had music playing on our arrival which was a lovely touch. The breakfast food provided was also welcomed and bed supremely comfortable. The extra touch came from us seeing three inquisitive Rosellas hanging around the front of the building and then realising there was bird food in the kitchen, giving us an opportunity to feed and enjoy their company even more! Comfortable in summer with airconditioning in the property, it would also be nice in winter with the fireplace roaring in the living area. The property is so secluded and well hidden (but still easy to find) that we didn't even need to blinds at night to have the real "night in the forest" feel. Hopefully will be back again!”
