Le Fenil Gite

We are a small independently run campsite nestled in the heart of the hamlet of Montmérac situated amidst vineyards, walnut groves, cornfields and sunflower fields. The village of Baignes is just 5km south or the market town of Barbezieux is just 8km away. We are about 10km from the national route N10 which is half an hour from Angouleme. Cognac Golf course is around 36km away and Hirondelle Golf Course is 42 km. The nearest airport is Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport, 90 km from the accommodation.

The cabin flanks the vines on one side & young olive trees on the other. Ideally located for discovering the Charentes: Cognac, Jonzac, Angouleme, Bordeaux, Royan... and more locally many walks: the blue ponds of Touvérac, the Thernes de Jonzac, as well as the greenway and hikes Refill Forbidden Cars parties are not allowed. A spectacular 200 year old barn, given a modern conversion. Bois Blanc is set in private grounds, down its own track surrounded by cognac vineyards. The Barn has a cinematic view mezzanine bedroom, a decking and outdoor furniture and use of swimming pool (normally open for 1st of June but can be earlier, depending on weather.)
