The river has heavy tidal flow (no river use from home). The Hoquiam River support runs of Chinook, chum, and coho salmon, steelhead, and sea-run trout. just a couple of miles upriver from Historic Downtown Hoquiam restaurants, stores and shops, 20 min to coast 45 min drive to Lake Quinault hiking trails South Shore Trailhead.

Enjoy walking the temperate forest on surrounding trails while having the opportunity to see elk, bald eagles, and otters. Adventure the Enchanted Valley from Graves Creek into the home of over 1,000 waterfalls or enjoy a relaxing day reading by the lake. The Kalaloch Beaches(located 35 minutes away) make for a great day trip exploring tide pools!

We’ve upgraded our cottage but it still has that cozy cabin feel that guests love. Private trail across street is a 5 min. walk to the beach. Large backyard with firepit, horseshoes & chairs. Enjoy a break with an evening fire or Netflix movie (Roku smart TV). Log wood/open beams interior with AC/Heat from new mini-split. Comfortably sleeps 3 adults/3-4 children. Propane grill, crab pots, clam guns, board games, patio set, beach chairs/towels/blanket, bikes and kids sand toys onsite.
