My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Michael and Alison‘s place. It was impeccably clean and beautifully furnished and the house itself surpassed our expectations. Wonderful spacious bathroom, very comfortable bed, and nicely set up small kitchenette. The location was superb. The hot tub was fabulous. We really enjoyed being out there in the morning and evening. Michael gives more information about places to eat and where to go than almost any host I’ve ever stayed with. And his wife Alison was so gracious on our arrival. Our only adjustment was the small size of the deck and the fact that there’s about a 4 foot high wall around two sides of it, blocking the wind and part of the view of the garden. Since we love to be outdoors and always book places according to what the grounds look like, this was an adjustment. However we did adjust, and turned out to really love our stay.

Beautiful location, you feel like you’re in a magical realm. The cabin is cute, but it is in the mountains and in the woods so is chilly, make sure to bring sweaters. The hot tub is great, but note that it isn’t a standard hot tub, you sit on the floor of it. Great for us but may be hard for others! I’d highly recommend this spot and we’re thinking about coming again.

Really great location in the red woods. Perfect place to spend a quiet weekend. The kitchen was well equipped. The fridge had a whole entertainment component built in so it was nice to use to play music in the kitchen. The outdoor space is super private and the hot tub is so peaceful. Bathroom is nice. Shower is spacious. Comfortable sleeping options. Overall a clearly well loved and taken care of space.

Hard to find a better priced place with this level of modernity and space. As others have mentioned it's a windy drive from highway 17, about 35 minutes from Santa Cruz, 20 minutes from Los Gatos (really cool town), and 30 minutes from San Jose. Of course, the semi-remote location is part of the appeal - redwood trees all around the yard, visible from inside the house, and all around beautiful steep terrain. The attached home is great - super comfortable couch in the living room, great bed in the bedroom, kitchenette and spacious bathroom.

We had an amazing time! This home is great for kids. Lots of toys, books, and amenities suited for families. Short walk to the beach. We will definitely be back!

Place was wonderful! Great views and a very comfy cozy bed. Hot tub and fire pit were great. Loved hanging out with our neighboring sheep & goat friends. The journey up the road to get to Amy’s is long and winding, it could get tedious at times, but it’s worth it in the end! Amy was very responsive to all our needs. Would definitely recommend!

Marianne and Windell were great! Garden apartment was beautiful and perfect for a family getaway with pups! Peaceful healing location and a short distance to shops. Wish Marianne and Windell the best of luck hosting and such a wonderful experience coming across this AirBnB!

Spacious unit right on the beach. Great view from dining area while enjoying morning coffee. Direct access to beach or boardwalk for walks with the dog. Easy access to all activities in Monterey county. This could become an annual retreat goal.

This place was great. The owners pay attention to the details and offered many amenities that we don’t see at other Airbnb’s. I highly recommend this place.

Everything about our stay was fantastic!! The beds, the pool, the town…the three of us loved this Airbnb and look forward to coming back. Swimming in a heated pool in the winter is a heavenly experience.

Cute house. Would advise driving during daylight tho, the roads are extremely windy and challenging at night. We had a tough time driving up in the dark. The amenities like hot tub were great. House was as described! Easy to use amenities. Would advise bringing a jacket on April.

This was the most peaceful and beautiful space I have ever been to. The view from the balcony was gorgeous. All the greenery and the deers and random dog was super gorgeous and felt really at home. The hot tub was amazing and super relaxing. Robert was very kind and responsive, Received a phone call about all the lights, hot tub, close trails, and recommended spots!! Super helpful and very kind gesture. Would 100% go back to this place

Beautiful and quiet neighborhood We did have an issue with the shower but they were quick and helpful, was fixed soon And so close to Carmel or even Monterey is a quick drive as well, very much enjoyed our stay!

Lovely place, quiet, very clean and cozy and with a comfy bed and great view of the hillside. Everything was just as described and Patricia was very helpful and lovely. We also appreciated being able to bring our dog too. The place is close to Carmel Valley Village and not far from it there’s a wonderful walking area next to Carmel river .

The house is only a few blocks away from everything you’ll need during your stay so you can walk through the nice neighborhood and access all the local amenities. Cool spot and great vibe

Carmel River Inn is exceptional! I have stayed here many times and it's always an excellent experience! Beautiful grounds, beautiful, quite,peaceful with a babbling brook behind it!! you can't go wrong, highly recommend it,easy access to many great restaurants and shopping

A lovely space for our family of four. The host, Gabriel, was very helpful and provided lots of great suggestions for things to do in the area. And he notified us that we could have a later check out time which was perfect for our short weekend stay, making it feel even longer. The beach is very accessible and beautiful and the neighbors were friendly - even helped us jump our car. A lovely space to visit. Highly recommend it!

Liza's place was wonderful! I would happily book a stay at Rickett's retreat again. The location is ideal, and the place itself is lovely, and it is well represented by the listing.
