We have just returned froma fabulous 2 weeks stay in this casa. We were met on arrival by our hosts Carlos and Edla who are both charming and very helpful. They also introduced us to José who lives locally and manages any issues with property - he couldn't have been more helpful! He even took me on a tour of the local area on the first morning so I would know my way around! Make sure to check you have your email of directions before you arrive as we used the sat nave to get to the place and then realised we were just in a region and needed more specific detail! Our hosts kindly had a bottle of water for our arrival and fresh flowers in all the rooms. The casa is charming and traditional rather than modern and was very clean. It has two air conditionning units which were able to cool the whole villa despite an exceptional heatwave (although initially we hd to run them aroundthe clock). There was adequate bed linen, indoor towels and kitchen linen. The beds were firm, perhaps not to everyones taste. The bedrooms were fresh and had loads of space and having 2 bathrooms was very practical. There was no bath if that is important to you. The kitchen had all ameneties-we especially enjoyed making our own orange juice with the electric juicer and also juicing some fresh lemons from the garden. The outdoor space was great-plenty of choice of shaded or sunny seating and dining areas and of course the huge pool. The pool is completely private, surrounded by trees but not shaded. It was kept very clean. There were discrete visits from the gardener every couple of days but ge came early and was gone before 9. He even washed our car for us on 2 occasions! Thanks! And he also left us large supplies of salad vegetables freshly picked a number if times. There is no grassy garden area but our boys had enough space to play boules and knock a light ball back and forward on the large patio area. Mostly they were in the pool. We brought our own pool towels as they are not provided. There was an outbuilding with a washing machine but the water is very ferrous and would stain white clothing (after I learnt the hard way, I rinsed essentials in the shower, then in swimming pool before drying). Perhaps the locals know how to get around this. We found plenty to do in the local area but would say a car is essential. We walked out to a local tavern a couple of times but restaurants were a drive away. We would recommend Montemor castle, Évora, Escoural caves, Quinta de Plansel vineyard and an especial hit with our boys was the zoo Monte Salvagem. If you are lucky enough to be there during any local Festa they are worth a visit! We had a marvellous time, and would be very happy tore...

A Herdade é magnífica... A Fauna e a Flora, UAU! Muito melhor do que na descrição. A decoração é simples mas típica de uma casa Alentejana. Espaço incrível para crianças. O José é um super Host! Recomendo e em breve iremos voltar.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour chez José, qui d'ailleurs est un hôte très agréable, accueillant et discret La villa située en pleine campagne prend tout son charme avec un dépaysement le plus total entourés de daims, de moutons, de biquettes, de paons ... Farniente au bord de la piscine, ballades digestives dans la propriété avec des fruits à grignoter sur notre passage qui a fait le bonheur des estomacs de nos enfants. Un lieu apprécié à l' unanimité de toute la famille. Un grand merci José, pour toutes vos petites attentions à notre égard ( melon du jardin, vins rosé fait sur la propriété...)

It was a great stay! Five stars, very quiet, stylish apartment, beautiful landscape, we love the horses and dogs. Service (vegetables, eggs etc.) was wonderful too. Thanks a lot, Celine, Angélica and husband!

We had a wonderful stay! It was extremely peaceful and calming. We really enjoyed the friendly dogs keeping us company and our daughter loved watching the horses, cows and chickens on the lands. The Alentejo landscape is just beautiful and it felt like time was moving slower. Thank you!

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich was ganz besonderes! Von den wunderschönen Zimmer, die mit so viel Liebe gestaltet wurden und wo man sich direkt zu Hause fühlt bis zu dem gesamten Ambiente, in der Umgebung und den unglaublichen netten Leuten vor Ort und den Tieren. Wir hatten zum Beispiel auch das Frühstück dazu gebucht, und es wurde mit so viel Liebe von Grace vorbereitet. Das hatte ich schon lange nicht mehr❤️aber auch die Hunde, die dort leben und Pferde sind unglaublich liebevoll & Menschen bezogen und es ist einfach richtig schön dort seine Zeit zu verbringen und einfach mal runterzukommen. Natürlich gibt es dort nicht unheimlich viel zu tun in den Umgebung, aber wir haben uns dort viel mit Sport beschäftigt und auch einfach mit uns selber und dafür ist der Ort einfach perfekt gemacht. Ich finde persönlich auf den Bildern kommt es gar nicht so rüber aber es ist ein unglaublich magischer, schöner, aufgeräumter, ordentlicher und einfach mit so viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet

O Sr. Jerónimo é um anfitrião impecável, super simpático e acessível, tendo estado sempre disponível! A zona exterior é maravilhosa e super confortável, tanto para o convívio como para relaxar junto à natureza. O espaço interior foi recentemente remodelado, tendo todas as comodidades necessárias. Voltaremos com certeza!

Fui, uma vez mais, bem recebido pela Grace, que demonstra-se sempre atenciosa, prestável e disponível para ajudar no que for preciso. Inclusive cozinhar bons pratos! Grato pela atenção e disponibilidade da Rita, que é bastante comunicativa e preocupada com os hóspedes. A herdade da Celine é um verdadeiro refúgio de paz, com uma beleza natural que transmite enormes sensações de calma e leveza. É sempre um gosto estar na companhia dos animais da quinta e poder interagir com todos. Irei voltar uma terceira vez🤍

Spent the weekend with some friends at Casa do Monte and the experience was great. The house is charming and the surrounding very peaceful. Great to disconnect from work. Diogo was also very nice and communicative. Will definetly recommend and consider for other occasions.

Les enfants ont adoré le séjour et adoré croiser les chiens lors de notre départ. Nous avons apprecié le calme de cet endroit, la décoration choisie munitieusement pour créer une belle ambiance dans la ferme et la sympathie des employées qui nous ont acceulli et qui font un excellent travail sur les terres de Celine. L'unique point " négatif" à notre séjour fû l'absence de balais ou d'aspirateur, ce n'est vraiment qu'un petit détail ! Mais nous voyagions avec un bébé de 10 mois très salissant lors des repas, et marchant à 4 pattes en mangeant tout ce qu'il trouve, ce fût un peu embêtant pour nous de ne pas pouvoir nettoyer le sol comme il faut. Mais une très bonne expérience dans l'ensembme. Merci pour de nous avoir permis de vivre une jolie expérience à la ferme.

Herdade da Saudade est un endroit magnifique ou le temps s’arrête. Nous y avons séjourné deux jours avec nos deux jeunes enfants et tout était parfait. Nous avons adoré la tranquillité, la proximité avec les animaux, la cueillette des fruits le matin dans le grand jardin et la piscine. Les employées de la ont été à notre disposition tout au long du séjour, merci pour tout! Nous étions triste de quitter, nous recommandons vivement! Un beau bonjour à Sintra de la part des enfants qui sont tombés en amour avec elle ❤️
