The place was very nice and clean. The kitchen/ living room is small but enough if you are outside a lot. We liked the bedrooms with private bathroom very much and they are very practical. Lorenzo was a very accommodating host, thank you very much, we would book again anytime.

Thank you so much to Domenica for hosting us and for letting us know about great walks. We already knew the village but had not had the chance to stay there yet. The apartment is in the heart and the surroundings are beautiful.

A bright open living area is illuminated by natural light streaming through large glass doors. Two sets of chairs and a dining table are positioned near the windows, offering views of the balcony and surrounding landscape. Green plants add a touch of nature to the space.

Clean apartment and good location, tastefully decorated. You feel a positive wave when you enter it. The welcome by Linda's brother (who was unavailable on the day of our arrival) was warm and friendly. During our stay, Linda was pro-active by checking in with us, apologizing for the week's bad weather (!), etc. The day we checked out was like leaving a longtime friend. Linda is warm, calm, calm, and smiling. She drove us to La Spezia station so we could arrive in time and jump on our train. We will return to Lerici and will stay in this apartment again.

The apartment exceeded our expectations beginning with the warm welcome in the parking garage by Gianluca who helped us park and who carried our bags up the two flights of steep stairs. It was a great surprise when we arrived to receive a bottle of local wine and an appetizer of focaccia and pesto as a welcome gift to celebrate our 20th anniversary! We felt right at home in the beautifully renovated apartment in the center of PV with an incredible water and harbor view. Gianluca answered all our questions quickly. He even replaced our iron with a brand new one when I mentioned ours didn’t work. After 10 nights in PortoVenere we hated to leave! We will be back!

The host was flexible with check in time which was amazing. Their home was very clean. The balconies are gorgeous and we enjoyed our morning coffee while relaxing on it. The best part was the bed. Full linens, comfortable pillows and soft, plump bed along with a duvet. Probably the best sleep I had while visiting Italy. I would stay here again if I’m ever in the area and will recommend same to my friends and family.

The middle house

Paolos place was magical. Montemarcello is quintessentially Italian, it’s authentic and the people are so incredibly sweet and welcoming. We wanted something relaxed and away from tourists, however we also wanted access to coffee and good food. Well we didn’t need to go far…. The piazza was just around the corner where the kids could play while we sat under the shady tress and watched people come and go. The food in the piazza restaurant was excellent, really delicious and authentic Italian food, we were there several times a day! The local grocer had all the essentials…. Fresh rolls, butter, cheese, deli small goods, veg, fruit, eggs etc…. Paolo was kind enough to organise a boat for us at our request…. It was an incredible day… highly recommend. Our kids loved the local playground and speaking to the lovely ladies who ran the cafe. We hope to be back one day as we honestly miss it already. Thank you for a beautiful time, Paolo! Highly recommend.

We had a pleasant stay at Flavia's place. We appreciated the warm welcome from Marina who gave us good advice to discover the region. The view is splendid from the terrace, although it is small for 4. The village of Montemarcello is picturesque and its inhabitants are friendly.
