House vacation rentals in Montaren-et-Saint-Médiers

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

Magical!! Andy and Jess have an absolutely beautiful place that embodies what Airbnb is all about! The decor is well thought out and gorgeous with beautiful French antiques and comfy furniture. The yard was massive with a perfect swimming pool, big grassy area, and places to sit in the shade. We made dinner one evening and sat and chatted with our host which was probably one of our favorite nights. Andy was so warm and welcoming and gave us lots of tips for cute towns and markets. The animals were the happiest pets I’ve ever met and it was fun to hang out with the 2 sweet dogs and friendly cat. Can’t say enough good things about this property. You can feel the soul of it as soon as you enter and I only wish we’d had more time here on our trip through France. Thank you Andy and Jess for your hospitality!

Un lieu incroyablement agréable, un environnement paisible et lumineux. C’était un vrai bonheur de séjourner dans la maison d’Alexandre : les chambres sont spacieuses et agréables, l’extérieur parfaitement entretenu et l’accueil d’Alexandre parfait, sachant qu’il a su faire prendre d’une grande flexibilité au niveau de l’horaire d’arrivée. Le village est particulièrement accueillant et beau. Encore merci pour ce très beau séjour !

Couldn’t have asked for a better house - ticked all the boxes and was conveniently close to Avignon without being in town. The house was spotless with all amenities thought about. Pool, loungers, outside dining was brilliant. Will definitely be back.

This old converted water mill makes a lovely family house, perfect for all generations. It is isolated (no need to worry about children screaming in the swimming pool) and surrounded by beautiful countryside, with signed hiking trails in all directions. You can walk to the very attractive village of Lussan for an ice cream or drink, (but any sort of food shopping does mean a car journey.) Our group comprised grandparents, parents and three children (aged 3 to 8). The children loved the pool, the trampoline and the bikes. The adults enjoyed boules and molkii. (There's also table tennis and lots of board games.) Vincent, the owner, lives close by and we were amazed at how quickly and efficiently he came round to deal with any little problems.

le lieu simplement sublime la maison est magnifique et l’environnement est une vraie carte postale. c’est un endroit paisible, entre pierres et nature. les propriétaires sont adorables et Blandine est vraiment réactive. merci beaucoup

De lodge bevindt zich midden in een prachtige natuuromgeving. Je kunt er volledig tot rust komen. Wij sliepen in totaal 2 nachten in de lodge vanwege onze doorreis en zijn met de auto de omgeving wat gaan ontdekken. Er is genoeg te doen voor wie van sportieve activiteiten houdt en je kunt er leuke wijnboerderijen en kaaswinkels vinden om mee te nemen. Het huis was prachtig en er is goed nagedacht over het interieur. Wij raden iedereen aan om hier te verblijven!

Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft inmitten wunderschöner Natur. Adrien war als Gastgeber stets freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Maison avec beaucoup de cachet et située dans une très belle région à proximité d'Uzes et du pont du Gard. Marie-Laure a été très aimable et à l'écoute sur les heures d'arrivée et de départ. Sa maison est très soignée et joliment décorée. L’extérieur est très agréable à toute heure de la journée. A recommander.

Wir hatten exakt vorgefunden, was wir erwartet hatten - ein super ruhiger Ort - man glaubt sich mitten im Wald. Wir liebten die wirklich sehr schöne Ausstattung des integrierten Schlaf- und Duschraumes. Alles ist sehr geschmackvoll und hochwertig ausgestattet. Die Klimatisierung ist herausragend - mit einem hochwertigen Klimagerät, welches den Schlafbereich absolut geräusch- und zugfrei auf Wunschtemperatur herunter kühlt. Der Küchenbereich ist vorgelagert - also eine Art Wintergarten, der sich über zwei große Schiebetüren, im coolen Industrial-Look fast komplett zur Natur öffnen lässt. Der große Poolbereich ist nur wenige Schritte entfernt - sehr gepflegt und bietet eine spektakuläre Aussicht auf die Pont du Gard. Und - all-abendlich spielten wir eine entspannte und Boule auf dem integrierten Spielfeld. Die Wohn läge ist perfekterl Ausgangspunkt für schöne Radtouren, oder um zu Fuss zu einem der sehr guten Restaurants im Ortskern zu gelangen. Klasse Unterkunft. Wir kommen wieder!

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Der "Hühnerstall" war der perfekte Ort um zu entspannen. Der Pool ist großartig und hat und geholfen mit dem heißen Wetter klarzukommen. Der Eingangsbereich bietet eine sehr private Sitzgelegenheit. Die Schlafzimmer unter dem Dach werden im Sommer recht warm, aber mit etwas "Wärme Management" und wenn man später ins Bett geht, ist das gut erträglich. Wir können den Ort empfehlen und kommen wieder, wenn wir in der Gegend sind.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à la magnanerie du Monteil. Le lieu est calme et charmant. Nous avons pu bénéficier des nombreux conseils de Lydie sur les activités (randonnées, canoë, baignades dans les rivières, visites de villages de charme, déjeuner dans de bons restaurants). Un séjour parfait !

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. En effet, tout est réuni pour de superbes vacances : hôtes accueillants, maison au calme et bien équipée, extérieur agréable avec la piscine. De plus, le logement est bien situé pour découvrir la région. Nous remercions Pascal et Marie pour leur gentillesse et simplicité.

Tout a été super! Le logement est très bien, fonctionnel, jolie, décoré avec goût et la 1ère chose que j'ai dis en entrant était "que ça sent bon" Karine est arrangeante, sympathique, discrète.... Ne pas hésiter, allez y.

le temps étant mitigé nous n'avons pas eu la possibilité de savourer la piscine,la terrasse extérieure et le barbecue. la situation est top découvrir le Gard de long en large. Sylvie est de très bon conseil, nous recommandons le logement.

Une parfaite petite maison pour s’évader ! Idéalement bien placée dans les Cévennes, hyper calme, décorée avec beaucoup de goût et bien équipée. Avec en sus piscine et belle piste de pétanque … Et des hôtes disponibles, réactifs et très sympathiques !

Très bon séjour dans le mas de Jennyfer et Vincent. Cette grande maison, pleine de charme, est parfaitement adaptée pour une grande famille, nous étions 10 . Les équipements sont nombreux et en parfait état. La climatisation est bienvenue à cette saison. Il y a beaucoup d'escaliers , mais on peut contourner le plus raide pour accéder aux chambres. La piscine est très appréciable, des espaces gazonnés pour jouer ,de l’ombre pour la sieste...et une belle terrasse pour les repas autour du BBQ. Les moustiques sont tenus à distance par les spirales insecticides, les mouches sont chez elles... Cet un bel emplacement pour faire du tourisme, du canoë, de la randonnée ou du vtt/ vélo. Tres bon accueil par Cassandra et sa sœur, tres réactives pour régler un petit problème technique. Je recommande vivement cette maison.

Un coin de paradis ! Je cherchais à la fois le charme des vieilles pierres, de la nature, du jardin arboré et la fonctionnalité d'un logement moderne, j'ai été subjuguée, c'était parfait ! Nous avons séjourné avec nos 2 enfants de 6 et 8 ans, le rêve pour elles. J'avais peur que la piscine ne soit trop petite mais pas du tout, elle est plus grande que sur les photos, elles s'y sont amusées pendant 5 jours sans se lasser. Je loue souvent sur airbnb et je trouve rarement des pépites comme ce logement.

The villa is surrounded by quintessential Provence countryside and the views are spectacular. The villa is very comfortable inside and is finished to a very high standard. The pool is large and the garden is beautifully maintained, making the outdoor spaces very pleasant to relax in. We were just a couple with a young baby, but the villa would be ideal for a larger group. The village of Villedieu is a short (5-10 min) walk down the hill, and is very pretty and peaceful. There is a nice square where you can sit and have a drink, and there is also an Epicerie for essentials. Other recommendations include: Châteauneuf-du-Pape (particularly Le Verger des Papes), Avignon and Pont du Gard, which are all within driving distance (45 mins to 1 hr). The host (Simon) also had some other good recommendations.

Wir, drei Paare, waren 1 Woche in diesem wunderbaren Anwesen. Das Haus befindet sich in einer ruhigen Lage, mitten in der Natur! Die Inneneinrichtung des Hauses ist Stil.- und Geschmackvoll. Eine Augenweide !!! Die große Terasse mit der Außenküche ist zu jeder Tageszeit ein Treffpunkt für gesellige Stunden. Die Woche ist viel zu schnell vergangen ! Beim nächsten Mal bleiben wir länger, um noch mehr Stunden am Naturpool ( inkl. Froschkonzert und kleinem Wasserfall) zu verbringen! Merci beaucoup, liebe Philippa!

Staying in Beth's accommodation was a lovely experience. Cozy, comfortable, quiet and close to town, it was wonderful. Also, the pool was very welcoming on a couple of hot days, after exploring the local region. Beth is a very kind, friendly and helpful host. We loved our visit to St-Remy and Beth and her accommodation were a large part of that experience! Wonderful!
