Great place to unwind. Comfortable living area for socializing. Nice hiking in the area. Wonderful sunsets in the valley. Pool is a bit small and doors are not well secured for windy days.

Stunning house and gardens - we felt extremely lucky to have found the house. You can stroll right into town or to La Cotte for a perfect breakfast. We were initially worried about security but the alarms have a 24hr armed response team which made us feel at ease. If you have found this place on Airbnb - book it, it is paradise.

The most amazing house in a fantastic location! We loved everything about it - the decor, the pool. Wonderful house and amazing host. Thank you. We’d love to stay there again if we came back to Franschoek.

A very tastefully furnished beautiful home with everything you would need. Eveline is an excellent communicator and very proactive when it comes to making sure you feel looked after. I would highly recommend her place and we would love to stay there again

Loved our girls trip weekend at David’s place. Super easy check in and clear instructions on how the house worked. Location was incredible, we walked for coffees and dinners and a short drive to surrounding wine farms and wine tram. So much to do in the area, we will be back!

We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, well equipped and tastefully decorated. High quality and well appointed kitchen. Gorgeous outside area for dining, and a little plunge pool for hot days. The town is walkable and full of great restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this house for a wonderful Franshhoek holiday.

We had an enjoyable couple of nights here . A lovely property with the added bonus of alpacas and springbok . The restaurant on site should by tried by all who stay - serving superb food and wine . A good location for exploring the area too . The best views you can imagine from the master bedroom . Give it a try !

A beautifully renovated farm house that is ideal for 3 couples. The house has many entertainment areas (courtyard was our favourite) and has some unique decorative art pieces. There are lovely small touches like the water filter and bath soap that made the stay more memorable. The kitchen has everything and more than needed: hello 3 different types of coffee machines ☺️ We enjoyed our stay

We had a wonderful stay at De Vrede - as a plantswoman myself, the garden must've been my favourite part of the whole property. Expansive, wild and prescribed a slower temporal pace I found incredibly fruitful. The cottage itself was delightful too, where we spent most of the chilly evenings by the fireplace. Highly recommend and would most definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed staying at the cottage so much. It's beautifully decorated and in such a peaceful location. We enjoyed being able to walk everywhere and the cottage's close proximity to the nature reserve. Everything you need is there, including the awesome fireplace that creates cosy evenings. Having sweet Lotus around as well was a major bonus! 🐱

We recently stayed here while attending a wedding in Tulbagh and had a wonderful experience. We shared the accommodation with two other couples, and it was absolutely perfect—each couple had their own spacious, beautifully decorated bedroom and private bathroom, which made the shared space feel both social and private. The courtyard garden and pool area were absolutely stunning, surrounded by the most beautiful, well-maintained greenery that made the whole place feel like a hidden oasis. The area itself is peaceful and quiet, perfect for unwinding, and there are a number of lovely restaurants and cafés within walking distance for breakfast and more. Highly recommended for a comfortable and stylish stay in Tulbagh!

This place magical and beyond what is seen in pictures! The attention to the very little details was amazing! Super peaceful place and highly recommended for anyone likes to get out of the city life and relax. The host was also super helpful and informed us of all that we needed to know before and during our stay . Perfect getaway! The place was absolutely stunning, you could see the thoughtfulness that went into the place, the decor and even the small details such as swimming towels, blankets on the sofa, logs by the fire place, diffusers and scents around the house, etc. Our stay was short but blissful. Definitely would stay longer a next time to enjoy the wood fire hot tub some more and the BBQ area in the back. The place is close to many wonderful restaurants and activities yet when you get home it's completely private and peaceful. Mark was an extremely responsive host and very easy to communicate with. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
