Lake side house rentals in Monroe Lake

Driving up we were greeted by beautiful deer at the entry! The peaceful area was very relaxing and once we were inside it was perfection. We got settled in and slept amazingly on that comfortable mattress! Check in and checkout were a breeze and if we’re in the area again we’d definitely stay again!

My husband and stayed for a few days - the pictures and descriptions are accurate. The house is about 25 minutes to the town of Nashville, but it is a beautiful drive. It is very well maintained and is one of the cleanest vacation properties we have stayed at. We loved the quiet, remote area. The back deck has a pleasant view of the lake, which appears to be a nature preserve. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to our nature-loving friends.

Great place to stay if you’re enjoying lake Monroe, visiting Bloomington, or going to campus. Quiet and right off the golf course. Will not hesitate to stay again if I’m back in the area!

Cheryl’s Lake Lemon Cottage was a great get-a-way. The cottage was beautiful with plenty of lounging areas and it was decorated so nice. The fresh flowers and rosemary were a sweet touch! There is also a nice view of the lake from the cottage. We had a boat so the dock was very accommodating and Cheryl was very helpful in making sure our trailer was parked safely. The fishing wasn’t good because of murky water and high winds but it was still nice to get out and enjoy the lake on the boat… the beautiful cottage more than made up for the lack of fish :) Thank you! Beautiful, secluded, peaceful place to unwind with the family!! The six of us had plenty of space to hangout inside and out. House was clean. Fishing was fine for the younger kids -lots of bluegill, a few bullheads & smaller bass. No cell service but WiFi worked really well.

We had a very peaceful stay! We enjoyed the sunsets on the porch every night, the view of the stars was breathtaking! We saw some bald eagles, caught lots of fish, and enjoyed making dinner! Beautiful place!

Donkeytown was wonderful. We used it for home base for a 3 night stay for an IU Graduation. It was a smidge far from the back and forth to IU but it definitely was worth it! The grounds were beautiful, we wandered among the donkeys, sheep and goats. We fished in a few different ponds. Our 10 year old caught a 4lb large mouth bass. The staff was always around if we needed them. There were 12 of us and it could have easily fit 4-6 more. They provided fresh eggs every morning, the fridge and pantry was relatively stocked. You didn’t have to bring the basics like you do at other places. If you are going to stay here, just make sure you give yourself a lot of downtime to sit on the farm, read, drink coffee, wine, listen to all the different birds, sit by the fire pit and try the cool golf cart/4 wheeler! The 12 people in our group all loved it!! Thanks to Tonya and everyone at Donkeytown.

The host is an artist so the place is eclectically decorated. We had fun playing pickleball on the nearby court which was also set up for tennis and basketball

Libby is a great communicator and hostess. The house was exactly as described. The snacks and unexpected breakfast items were perfect! The bed had great cotton linens and the bathrooms had great towels. The house was exceptionally clean! The hot tub was clean and hot, very relaxing just listening to the birds. We so enjoyed our three days here. Thank you for sharing your home with us. The sunset was unforgettable. We also enjoyed the Porthole restaurant next door. Great pizza and a fabulous tenderloin sandwich. If you are looking for a place in the Lake Lemon area look no further. This is the place!

Beautiful lake house on secluded lot

Great location for a peaceful getaway! We had so much fun and loved being there. The host was very responsive and checkout was very clear and easy.

Hawks Ridge was amazing!! Such a beautiful home, both inside and out. We were in town for a graduation at IU, and Susan’s home was very convenient to Bloomington. The home is secluded, private, very peaceful and an amazing place to stay. There were four in our party and we had plenty of room. Susan was incredibly helpful and responsive.

Great place to stay for graduation weekend at IU. The pictures of this home don’t do the place justice! We all thought this place was gorgeous and super clean. The location was peaceful and a 20 minute drive to campus. The bedrooms are large and beautifully decorated, the only thing missing is full sized mirrors. Would definitely stay here again!!

Spent a IU football weekend here while visiting our daughter on campus. Quaint cabin in the woods that met all our needs. Chris’s instructions were very thorough. Only about 14 minutes from campus too. Great hiking in Hoosier national forest that was minutes away. Would be a wonderful place to stay also if you were doing a lake weekend over the summer.

Perfect End-of-School-Year Getaway! This home was absolutely perfect for a quick end-of-school-year getaway with my kids! The hosts went above and beyond—even creating a small and thoughtful scavenger hunt for my two young kiddos, which they absolutely loved. They were so entertained, they didn’t even want to leave the house! Although the weather was too chilly for us to enjoy the pool, we had a great time exploring Bloomington and taking advantage of the amazing amenities the hosts provided. It was a memorable trip, and I’m already planning to return soon. Highly recommend these wonderful hosts!

Absolutely amazing!!!

We loved our stay at Terra and Brian's place. It's a beautiful cabin; very clean and well decorated; set nicely back from the road so there's plenty of privacy. Terra was very proactive with check-in and check-out instructions and responsive during our stay. Our only regret is that we didn't pay attention to the extensive number of games or fun titles on the bookshelves. Two days was not enough time to explore all of them!

Absolutely wonderful for families - lots of room for everyone! My kids loved the pool! Lots of thoughtful extras - the snacks in the kitchen were so nice after a long travel day. You can tell they want you to feel at home.

Very nice and clean condo in a beautiful area, perfect if you want peace but still wants to be close to Bloomington or the lake. The apartment is very nice, clean and cozy. Marji was very responsive and helpful.
