The Medici Cloister - Suite 101

Suite 101 – The Water Room Private suite located within the ancient settlement Il Chiostro dei Medici, in the center of Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with pedestrian access from the garden of Via A. Agrusti. The suite was created from service rooms historically linked to the water and refreshment of pilgrims and locals heading to the Santi Medici Cosma e Damiano, and features a flat ceiling, a limestone wall, overlooking the internal garden of the Cloister and windows overlooking the trulli.

The interior design is inspired by an urban scenario, with precision to the concrete bases close to the level crossings. The black and white stripes also become a strong reference to cinema, to the clapperboard. In this attic, everything becomes "theatrical", from the backdrop that becomes double-sided and divides the bed area from the sauna area, to the bathroom that has a direct view into the room through a transparent glass.
