Welcome to Fainting Goat Mountain...aka the G.O.A.T! This fully renovated luxury mountain top cabin is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, boasts 270° long range views (21 peaks) and is home to a herd of (currently 11) adorable Fainting Goats overlooking the Cane River! They are all very friendly and love interacting with people, and yes they will "faint" if startled! Come hang out with the goats, and literally "over" the goats on our new rustic treehouse net!

At a cool elevation of 3,500 feet there is always a lovely cool breeze. Private in every way. Fine dining and bar within walking distance. Two night minimum. The cottage now has air conditioning (it’s very quiet).

This beautiful suite offers a King Bed with awesome views. It also comes with access to the one of the main towers for a breath taking sight of North Carolinas mountains. The bathroom is fit for Royalty and even has a gorgeous bathtub for you to relax. You also get a moon roof and plush comfortable bedding. Step out and you have a forward view over looking the portico. This suite is one of the best in the Castle.

Chinquapin Inn - Bedroom w/ 2 Twins

$95 for one person. $145 for two people. Nestled in tall pines and silhouetted by the Blue Ridge Mountains, Chinquapin Inn is a cozy and hospitable bed and breakfast. It is a ten minute walk down the quiet road from Penland School of Craft. All guests are required to be vaccinated.
