It has a kitchenette with a stovetop, microwave, electric fry pan, fridge, jug, toaster and all the essentials. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. It has a private entrance and off-street parking.

The Millers Flat Tavern is open for meals Pinders Pond is a local swimming attraction. Highland Bike hire in Roxburgh has ebikes for hire.

The Retreat was established by the Clark family who live on, and farm the surrounding land. The Clark's have been farming the 685 hectare coastal property in the Catlins for the last 25 years. Built in 1881, this beautiful and recently restored three bedroomed cottage is nestled quietly in an exquisite cottage garden which attracts many birds, including the Wood Pigeon, NZ’s Bird of the Year in 2018. The cottage is within easy walking distance of the shops and cafes of Lawrence. Lawrence is on the Clutha Gold Trail which offers bike riding and walking. We are NOT pet friendly.
