House on the Hill

Located an easy block from the GAP trail, our house is located in a quiet and friendly family oriented area. You may hear the train occasionally but very little traffic noise. The house was fully renovated in 2023 and has all new beds, linens and living room furniture. It is on the edge of town and less than a block from the GAP bike trail, and has lockable bike storage. One bedroom has a king bed, the other two bedrooms have two twin beds each. All bedrooms and the bathroom are upstairs.

Relax with family, friends, or enjoy a solo retreat at this peaceful place to stay in the country. Chestnut House was built in the early 1940s, with Wormy Chestnut wood everywhere! It is a unique home, with an apartment built over a garage / wood working shop.. then connected to the main house later. This space available to rent is separate and fully functional from the main house where we live. Enjoy 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, full kitchen and living area.. along with the large outdoors!

Our house in Meyersdale is a single-family house just a block from the GAP bike trail on a quiet street and walking distance to the middle of town. The house is ideal for travelers riding the GAP, skiers visiting the slopes nearby, or those looking for some quiet time in the country. Ideal for individuals or small families. (Pls note: Trains come through town and the whistles can be heard during the day or night. There is also a fire whistle to alert volunteers to emergencies.)
