Our cosy little house is in the centre of the village of Messingham which has lots of pubs and eateries within walking distance. We have an Indian, Thai, Italian & dog friendly gastro pubs with live music, hairdressers, beauty salons, bakery & food shops. A short drive away a Nature reserve, play barn, golf, tennis, fishing & a lovely little zoo as well as Blyton ice cream & racetrack. A little stream with ducks is in the next village. We welcome families, couples, business people & pets.

Just had the most amazing stay in Hare Cottage at Sawcliffe Manor, and the Cleopatra Spa experience was amazing - even my husband and our 2 girls loved it! We booked the Afternoon Tea, Grazing board and English breakfast during our stay and they were all truly perfect - the afternoon tea even came in a ‘Mad Hatters’ theme. Cannot wait to book again.

This place is absolutely beautiful. Cannot give it anything less than 5*. The gardens are amazing so peaceful and the place feels like home from home. Stella was a brilliant host helped when help was needed but left us in peace to enjoy our stay. I would highly recommend this place and perfect if using Humberside airport.

Such a wonderful find! This beautiful compact house offers so much. Everything has been so carefully and well thought out, clearly with a lot of attention to detail to make a great stay! The place has everything you could think of and everything being of high quality. The owners seemed very polite and caring and the location was great, with 2 local shops on the doorstep. Very pleased we found it! All you need to bring is food, everything else is provided, sugar, milk, tea and coffee etc.

A secure lockbox is mounted on a brick wall, featuring a combination dial that allows for access to key storage. The adjacent surface is a dark, smooth material, providing a contrast to the textured reddish-brown bricks.

This felt like luxury. It was neat, very well decorated and furnished. It had everything we would need and if we needed anything else there are more than enough walkable shops near by. You can really tell C7 take pride in their work and it’s wonderful to enjoy.

A clean and functional bathroom features a white toilet positioned against a lightly textured wall. The floor is finished in neutral-toned wood-style tiles. Wall-mounted accessories include a toilet paper holder and towel rack, contributing to the space's practicality.

18th century lock keepers cottage

What a great find Lock Keeper’s Cottage was for a lovely weekend away. If you’re looking for a quiet get-away in a traditional cottage right on the canal then this is for you. Your only neighbours are moored up barges/narrowboats - some permanent and others just passing through. Chat with the local owners or those navigating the canal lock on your doorstep and you’ll find how friendly they all are. At the back of the property there’s a large decking and the sizeable garden looks across open fields and is surrounded by a run off stream from the canal - you’ll have a to an eye of children if you’re taking them but this stream is only a few inches deep for the most part. Walking is easy - there’s woodland opposite (part of the Babworth Estate) with paths and, of course, the canal path itself. The cottage itself is really cosy with the 2 lounges and a well equipped kitchen. The stairs to the bedrooms are steep and may be a challenge for the less agile though.
