Lovely, spacious and light property with all the mod cons! It was so peaceful we didn't turn the TV on once. Really lovely decoration and clever use of the space, close to plenty of walks and all in all a lovely stay, thank you Erika.

This was a lovely place to stay - cosy & comfortable. Everything has been thought of for a relaxing break & this was an ideal base for exploring the Lake District and further afield. We came up to visit the North Sheep event at Greystoke (unfortunately the weather wasn't great that day!) and then spent the rest of our stay exploring some of the lakes and fells. We enjoyed our visit to Grasmere, and can also recommend the guided tour of the house at Hutton-in-the -Forest. Thank you for the suggestions for places to eat - the pie night at the Fethers was amazing and The Highland Drove was also excellent. Many thanks once again, we're already wondering when we can fit in another visit!!

We stayed here over the bank holiday weekend and had an absolutely wonderful time. The location is stunning—surrounded by nature with easy access to beautiful walks and lakes, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private, far from the crowds. The house itself is gorgeous—immaculately kept, stylish, and very comfortable. Parking was easy, which made everything hassle-free from the start. Our host was amazing—friendly, responsive, and went above and beyond to accommodate every request we had. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommended, and we’d love to return!

Christine made us feel welcome from the moment we booked the cottage right through to the end of our stay. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough. We booked the cottage as a surprise getaway for my sister’s 40th birthday, and we were looking for somewhere peaceful where we could also bring our dogs. The secure (and massive!) garden was perfect for them. The generous stock of logs and the incredibly thoughtful hamper on arrival went above and beyond our expectations. The barn itself is very spacious, and having all three bedrooms en-suite was so convenient for our group. It’s only about half an hour from Ullswater Lake, which made it the perfect base to explore this beautiful area. We’ll definitely be coming back and will be recommending this cottage to others in the future. Thank you ! X
