Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Mellieha Bay

What a pleasure to have stayed in Diego‘s wonderful and peaceful home surrounded by such a lovely neighbourhood. We loved the rustic flair of the place and appreciated the materials/elements/shapes/colours Diego embedded into this lovely cave. You can tell that Diego has a good eye for things. Diego is also an excellent host and gave us tips for hikes to particularly beautiful places and more. Since we visited lovely Scicli during Mai/June and experienced the garden in full bloom, it was such a soothing oasis - the special gem. The shower space, design and experience is incredible and comes with a view to the sky. It's the big little things that make it so special: the tableware in the kitchen, pictures placed, furniture telling stories from the past and the wonderful places created. The floor in the ground was so very special for us, since the kitchen floor merges into the stone. If someone happens to have the same preference, it’s highly recommended to walk the floor barefoote

There is something magical about staying in the heart of Mdina!! And despite the impracticalities, we’d happily do it again!! This place is a real unique find!!!! We loved being able to walk around after the tourists had left and enjoy the magic of the place. It’s really ‘money can’t buy’ stuff. The property is exactly as described - not for you if you want luxury and all the modern conveniences - it’s quirky and a bit of an odd layout. It can also be a bit of a challenge with parking/traffic - we struggled one day and can’t imagine what it might be like in the height of summer. Would highly recommend coming up the back way to Greek’s Gate via Triq l-Għarreqin. I would say from 7am - 9pm it can be quite loud, but we were out and about so didn’t bother us. It may sound like we’re being negative, but we’re not… we just think this property deserves guests who appreciate it for what it is and don’t expect it to be something else. Villa Sorelle was a wonderful stay! It does not have close neighbors, so was peaceful and private, but also is only a short drive into Pozzallo which is a lovely sea front town. The pictures accurately show it, nicely updated, clean, and with nice pillows and cushions throughout. The host also arranged a lovely crib and high chair for us. Highly recommend!

Malta ist immer einen Besuch Wert, aber Gozo hat die Position der ruhigen und grünen Seite der Inseln. Und inmitten des Herzens von Gozo in Viktoria befindet sich in einer ruhigen, zentralen Seitenstrasse im Stile eines 'house of character' das Apartment von Rowen. Wer dort einkehrt, wohnt nicht nur zur Miete, sondern lebt dort die Zeit, die er dort verbringt: grüßende Nachbarn, alle Annehmlichkeiten des täglichen Lebens sind in der Umgebung wie Restaurants, Eisdiele, Supermarkt (beste Austern!!), und vom Zentrum kommt man an jeden Punkt der Insel in weniger als 20 Minuten. Rowan ist ein perfekter Gastgeber, das Apartment ist 1A gepflegt, es fehlt an nichts incl. allem nötigen Beiwerk zum kochen wie Öl, Salz und Pfeffer. Das mag eine Kleinigkeit sein, aber es ist immer sehr unangenehm, wenn man diese Dinge erst selber für ein paar Tage einkaufen muss. Mein Tip: eine klare Empfehlung, einfach ausprobieren!

This is the perfect location to start exploring Maltese history. The place is more than good, especially the bathroom!

This place is absolutely stunning. So peaceful, both inside and out in the beautiful garden. Authentic & historic. The local village and area are very interesting to walk around - I recommend the Zebbug loop (if you don't mind a steep hill!) Very well stocked, even a bottle of prosecco was provided, beach towels, etc. Ana was very helpful, recommending local beaches and restaurants, and always responsive, kindly allowing me a late checkout on the last day. My one comment, as someone else has said, is it should be made clearer in the description that the place is all really one room, with no real separation between bedroom, kitchen and living room. This doesn't matter if you are 1 or 2, but may affect groups of 3 depending on their makeup, as there is no real privacy.

The unit is conveniently equipped with a lift, so it’s a real plus for anyone mobility challenged. A little mini-mart on the main floor was a major plus for quick/forgotten items, or your first meal upon arrival until you can get to Welbee’s. The kitchen cookware was adequate but do check things out before meal planning. The unit is spacious, it was clean and took no time to maintain during our stay.

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was nice and the view was absolutely beautiful. The owner was also very kind and helpful. Mellieħa itself is a quiet town but has everything you need. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

We have really enjoyed our stay in this cozy appartement. Its located perfectly since you are close to the beach, have restaurants nearby and can get everywhere since there is a bus stop at the appartment. The check-in and the ongoing contact with the host regarding any questions from our side was perfect. We can highly recommend the appartment and the host!

We stayed here for a week. The place was very clean and spacious and very well kitted out including a fully functional kitchen. The view and terrace is amazing. The apartment’s in a great location. Walking distance to shops, loads of restaurants and the bus (you will need the bus or a car to get to the beach). Loads of nice walks in the area and a very short drive to the ferry to Gozo (absolutely worth the day trip and the ferry for a car crossing is very cheep). We had a great time and would definitely stay here again if we’re back in Malta.

As coming to Malta for the first time I was worried a bit. Location turn out out to be a perfect spot, close to centre but away from traffic and noise yet close by bus stop. Accommodation was neat and clean. The hosts were v nice, friendly and really helpful with information and advices. We enjoyed our stay and hopefully will come back. Big thank you from us.

We absolutely loved our stay at Pat’s apartment. There was everything we needed and the views were sublime. Great size for our family of 4 and a helpful stair gate permanently installed at the top of the stairs to the flat. Pat was great at coming back to us and making local recommendations. I will be returning, with a lot of good books!! Thank you Pat.

Lovely flat in a great location a short distance from the beach, good restaurants, Starbucks and a bus stop on the corner. Checkin and checkout was easy. Thanks Sarah for being a great host.

Logement super au calme, quel bonheur dans cette île. L'accueil de Stephen est admirable, et il sera un merveilleux-conseil pour… tout ! La terrasse sur le toit pour l'apéro au coucher de soleil est super, la piscine et le logement sont nickel ! Merci et belle continuation.

Très beau et bon logement. Il est plus grand en vrai que sur les photos, donc très bonne surprise. Le séjour s’est très bien passé et Caroline a toujours été une hôte réactive et à l’écoute. PS : pensez à ramener des pièces faire fonctionner pour la climatisation

We only spent 2 nights but this place was great! Very nice spacious apartment.

Lovely, spacious apartment that was exactly as described and looked just like the photos. Really well located too, with a supermarket immediately next door and lots of shops, bars and restaurants within a short walk. If you’re up for a longer walk you can even get to Sliema within 15 minutes. Really easy to jump a taxi to Valletta and anywhere else on the island too, or there’s a bus stop right outside the supermarket. Jane was a super host, letting us check-in early and responding within seconds to rescue us when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the building!

The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, plus some lovely extras like fresh coffee and an ironing board. The washing machine’s 15-minute cycle was especially handy for a quick turnaround of clothes. The views from the apartment were extraordinary, both during the day and at night. We didn’t use any of the common areas of the apartment block and wouldn’t have used the pool, so we can’t comment on those. The apartment was ideal for our holiday. We had a car and spent our 10-day stay exploring Gozo and Malta with ease. We would happily stay again if the mattress is replaced—it was very, very uncomfortable. Aside from that it was a great stay. Thank you!

We stayed in four properties during our trip to Malta & Gozo. This was by far the most professional and communicative host with the highest standard. The property has been cleverly thought through- from potato peelers and cheese graters to deckchairs- they are excellent quality. You are made to feel that you are valued and the host has not provided you with cheap utensils. The finish overall was amazing. It was well stocked with everything- indoor and pool towels. The tv is easy to use- we got Amazon Prime working easily. The pool is gorgeous and very peaceful. We felt safe as a family of four and found getting places using Bolt no problem.

Jesteśmy starszą para i ta uprzejmość i empatia bardzo nas wzruszyła. Za co od serca dziękujemy. Bardzo łatwa komunikacja z gospodarzem. Miejsce łatwo znaleźć. Nieskazitelnie czyste wszystkie pomieszczenia. Zmiana ręczników, mycie okien po ulewnym deszczu ! Wszystkie urządzenia sprawne i zgodnie z opisem. Jest wszystko czego potrzebujesz do przygotowania posiłku. Piękna okolica do zwiedzania, dobre miejsce do spacerów, restauracje, bary i kioski. Komunikacyjne połączenie z miejscowościami Gozo bardzo dobre. Autobusy przy terminalu promowym 2-3 minuty. Autobus 301 do Viktori/ Rabat regularnie co dwadzieścia minut. Widok z balkonu! Widok na morze, port, wyspę Comino, Maltę. Niezapomniany spektakl, zwłaszcza kąpiące się konie. A przede wszystkim niezapomniani gospodarze. Dziękujemy. Grazyna i Teodor.

We had a lovely stay here, the penthouse is fab! The roof terrance is a really good touch, a lovely pool / bbq and amazing views. As hosts both Daniel and Svetlana were super responsive and helpful. Always on hand to help out. Would recommend if you like your own space and enjoy a sea view. It’s a lovely walk into town where there are nice restaurants and ice creams and in the other direction there are several great swimming spots with two beach bars seeing food and drink. Would highly recommended :)
