Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Mellieha Bay

We really enjoyed our stay in Matthew & Elaine’s town house with our 11 month old daughter. Communication was friendly and fast and when we missed a baby chair Elaine came to bring it to us right away. It should be noted that there is a lot of construction going on, at both sides of the house, but it’s not on a all day every day basis so it didn’t bother us too much. The walk to the beach is beautiful and it’s also easy to walk to the town square with some bars. If you have a rental car the whole island is easily accessible. Last of all we really appreciated the ‘welcome package’ with some fresh produce. Thanks!

There is something magical about staying in the heart of Mdina!! And despite the impracticalities, we’d happily do it again!! This place is a real unique find!!!! We loved being able to walk around after the tourists had left and enjoy the magic of the place. It’s really ‘money can’t buy’ stuff. The property is exactly as described - not for you if you want luxury and all the modern conveniences - it’s quirky and a bit of an odd layout. It can also be a bit of a challenge with parking/traffic - we struggled one day and can’t imagine what it might be like in the height of summer. Would highly recommend coming up the back way to Greek’s Gate via Triq l-Għarreqin. I would say from 7am - 9pm it can be quite loud, but we were out and about so didn’t bother us. It may sound like we’re being negative, but we’re not… we just think this property deserves guests who appreciate it for what it is and don’t expect it to be something else. We traveled a lot and stayed in many places, but this appartment and host is next level. It's a small beach side house, secluded from the beach, behind wonderful trees. + It's better equipped than even most hotels + Super friendly and supportive host + Dishwasher :-) + Wonderful family friendly and quiet beach The fly-byes of Flamingos every evening was almost too much - we would have not believed it if we wouldn't have experienced it by ourselves.

A Perfect Stay in the Heart of Malta! We absolutely loved our stay at this gem of an Airbnb in Rabat, right next to the stunning, historic city of Mdina. The location couldn’t have been better—just a stone’s throw from charming restaurants (GO TO YANA'S), cozy cafes (GO TO CHALK), and beautiful walks through the medieval streets. It was also the ideal central hub for exploring the rest of Malta, with easy access to transport links and a peaceful atmosphere to come back to after a day of adventuring. We did hire a car and a big car park at the top of Labini street The property itself was spotless, stylishly furnished, and had all the comforts of home. Every detail was thoughtfully considered to make our stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. The hosts were warm, responsive, and gave us excellent local tips that really made our trip special. We’d return in a heartbeat—highly recommended to anyone visiting Malta!

Malta is always worth a visit, but Gozo has the position of the quiet and green side of the islands. And in the heart of Gozo in Victoria, Rowen's apartment is located in a quiet, central side street in the style of a 'house of character'. Those who stay there not only live for rent, but live there the time they spend there: greeting neighbors, all the amenities of daily life are in the area such as restaurants, ice cream parlor, supermarket (best oysters!!), and from the center you can get to any point of the island in less than 20 minutes. Rowan is a perfect host, the apartment is perfectly maintained, nothing is missing incl. all necessary accessories for cooking such as oil, salt and pepper. This may be a small thing, but it is always very unpleasant when you have to buy these things yourself for a few days. My tip: a clear recommendation, just try it!

Gianluca was very responsive and answered all my queries. I felt very comfortable dealing with him. Allowed an earlier check in and a later checkout . I would highly recommend this place !

The house has an amazing atmosphere, especially the terrace, windows and pool. The center looks better than in the photos. The host was flexible about check-in and check-out times, which was a huge plus.

This place is absolutely stunning. So peaceful, both inside and out in the beautiful garden. Authentic & historic. The local village and area are very interesting to walk around - I recommend the Zebbug loop (if you don't mind a steep hill!) Very well stocked, even a bottle of prosecco was provided, beach towels, etc. Ana was very helpful, recommending local beaches and restaurants, and always responsive, kindly allowing me a late checkout on the last day. My one comment, as someone else has said, is it should be made clearer in the description that the place is all really one room, with no real separation between bedroom, kitchen and living room. This doesn't matter if you are 1 or 2, but may affect groups of 3 depending on their makeup, as there is no real privacy.

The unit is conveniently equipped with a lift, so it’s a real plus for anyone mobility challenged. A little mini-mart on the main floor was a major plus for quick/forgotten items, or your first meal upon arrival until you can get to Welbee’s. The kitchen cookware was adequate but do check things out before meal planning. The unit is spacious, it was clean and took no time to maintain during our stay.

We had a great time at Matthew's apartment in Malta. The apartment was very clean, perfectly equipped and located in a great location, close to everything (shops, restaurants, bus stop). Matthew was very responsive and available, both before we arrived and throughout the stay, which really made our trip easier. A big thank you for the warm welcome and the quality of the accommodation, we recommend it without hesitation!

Very neat apartment with a roof top where you can catch beautiful sunsets - the name of the apartment "sunset cove" doesn't lie. Plus Ramon is a super host very thoughtful and friendly, proactive and always responsive in communication. I definitely highly recommend this place for everyone who wants to experience a quiet and authentic experience in Malta.

The apartment is big, comfortable and the view from the spacious balcony is breathtaking. The location is great. it is the best place for families with children. we highly recommend this apartment and the host. Mary

Great stay in this BnB. Really spacious, very clean, Randolph had spot on communication and we had no trouble checking in. He was accommodating and clear both before we arrived and after we left! Location is great, nice little snorkelling area in view of the apartment and a main sandy beach 5 minutes walk. Multiple restaurants if you want a bite to eat. Nothing negative to say at all. When we come back to Malta we will be staying here again!

Super quiet accommodation, what a joy on this island. Stephen's hospitality is admirable, and he will be a wonderful advisor for… everything! The rooftop terrace for sunset aperitif is great, the pool and accommodation are great! Thank you and nice continuation.

Caroline was such a great host, she left us a folder full of contacts for food and things to do round Malta. Great location as there are restaurants and shops near by and even good transport links. Gadeira bay being 10mins away on the bus.

Lovely, spacious apartment that was exactly as described and looked just like the photos. Really well located too, with a supermarket immediately next door and lots of shops, bars and restaurants within a short walk. If you’re up for a longer walk you can even get to Sliema within 15 minutes. Really easy to jump a taxi to Valletta and anywhere else on the island too, or there’s a bus stop right outside the supermarket. Jane was a super host, letting us check-in early and responding within seconds to rescue us when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the building!

The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, plus some lovely extras like fresh coffee and an ironing board. The washing machine’s 15-minute cycle was especially handy for a quick turnaround of clothes. The views from the apartment were extraordinary, both during the day and at night. We didn’t use any of the common areas of the apartment block and wouldn’t have used the pool, so we can’t comment on those. The apartment was ideal for our holiday. We had a car and spent our 10-day stay exploring Gozo and Malta with ease. We would happily stay again if the mattress is replaced—it was very, very uncomfortable. Aside from that it was a great stay. Thank you!

We stayed in four properties during our trip to Malta & Gozo. This was by far the most professional and communicative host with the highest standard. The property has been cleverly thought through- from potato peelers and cheese graters to deckchairs- they are excellent quality. You are made to feel that you are valued and the host has not provided you with cheap utensils. The finish overall was amazing. It was well stocked with everything- indoor and pool towels. The tv is easy to use- we got Amazon Prime working easily. The pool is gorgeous and very peaceful. We felt safe as a family of four and found getting places using Bolt no problem.

Absolutely amazing stay! Ray and Rosie are wonderful hosts — so warm and attentive. The place is spotless, beautifully maintained, and truly feels like home. Every detail is thoughtfully done. Would love to come back!

Fantastic location with a fantastic view over the harbor the boat and Villetta in the distance. So glad I didn’t stay in Villetta, which is a zoo, crowded with people and cars. Very comfortable very quiet great neighborhood close to sites and restaurants and easy to get to Villetta on the ferry. Fantastic deck with such a huge view, unfortunately the furniture is very marginal a rusty table, old chairs, and two dirty lounge chairs with no cushions, which is a shame because the deck is nothing short of brilliant. I loved my stay there and would stay again especially if the deck gets a little attention

It's a great Airbnb - exactly as described and ideal for a family with two kids. The furnishings are as shown in the pictures and we immediately felt at home. Right next to the property there are shops and the kitchen is fully equipped. The furnishings are of high quality and the decorative elements testify to a lot of style. Simply a really well furnished Airbnb. The view of the sea is great and we felt really comfortable. On our next stay in Malta, the path will surely lead us back to Marvic. Thank you for everything.
