House vacation rentals in McHenry

Great location - walking distance from Wisp for skiing and tubing (though not easy with gear) and a short drive to the grocery store. This was our second stay at this property and we love how family friendly it is - the kids love the game room and climbing wall and it’s a good setup for multiple families.

The house was beautiful and so was the setting. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very spacious. The only thing disappointing was there was 8 of us and we brought steaks to grill. As nice as the house was , I was shocked at the tiny table top grill. We ran out of the small propane bottles as there were only two that were half full. I would recommend a full size grill for a house advertised as accommodating 11 people. Other than that everything was great!!

Great way to spend a few days winding down. The lake was close to the house. Our dogs enjoyed a morning swim and a nice long walk on the trails to dry off and release some energy.

Great response time. we had a few issues, host was quick to remedy. we enjoyed our stay. would stay again. there is a pool and food at the lodge I would highly recommend. when you arrive there is a security gate at the end of the community, you have to check in with them. they give you your pass and make sure you are supposed to be there. the guard also told us you can get access to go to the lodge or amenities without being a guest staying overnight.

My family has stayed at several cabins over the years and this one by far was one of the best! Literally everything you could ever need was provided. The consideration and care put into this Airbnb felt like a home. Generous furnishings and supplies were available and it was close to some markets if you needed anything. We also liked how dog friendly the listing was. The cabin and surrounding area was peaceful and quiet. Very clean. Would love to come stay again if we have the opportunity to.

We had a great stay at the house! The view is beautiful. The house was outfitted with everything we need. Railey Vacation communicated very clearly and proactively. Highly recommend.

ONLY WISH WE COULD STAY LONGER! We had an amazing stay at this cozy cabin in Terra Alta! The resort-like community is absolutely stunning and truly "almost heaven"! You and your family will enjoy long walks and access to the activities offered by the property. The home is spacious with plenty of room (we had 6 adults in our group). The lake view is stunning and Wendy has thought of just about everything. The home itself was impeccably clean, detailed amenities and has a warm and welcoming feel. It was the perfect spot to celebrate our daughter's graduation! We only wish we could have stayed longer! We can't wait to come back and truly come back. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Great place in the woods away from main hustle and bustle.

We stayed here for our annual friends/snowboarding trip! This was our first time in a Lake Life Vacation home but everything was just as described. We had everything we needed & felt right at home. Highly recommend stopping by Mountain State Brewery just up the road.

Very nice modern house. The only issue was getting the hot tub to an adequate temperature in a timely manner. Check in was 4PM. I arrived around 5PM. The hot tub water temperature was 67F. I had to wait until 10PM for the hot tub to reach a temperature of 93F. In short, it was more of a "warm" tub instead of a "hot" tub. If the hot tub were prepared in advance, I could have used it right away when I arrived.

Great stay, beautiful view of the lake. House was spacious and clean. Karen responds very quickly and even let us check in slightly early as we were traveling with two babies, which was much appreciated!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Careless Whisper Cabin! It was spotless (air purifier included), and the bed and pillows were incredibly comfy… honestly better than some luxury hotels. The deck and fireplace were our favorite hangout spots. Even with the rain, we spent hours there just soaking in the peaceful vibe. The amenities felt high-end, but the atmosphere was pure cozy cabin warmth… relaxing, inviting, and good for the soul. There were so many thoughtful touches—kids’ utensils, a well-stocked kitchen, both Keurig and drip coffee makers, extra toilet paper, and a sweet welcome gift with a “Congrats” sign for our twins’ graduation. That truly made our hearts melt. Brian was such a wonderful host… responsive, thoughtful, and felt like a distant friend making sure we had the best time. We’ll absolutely be back, and will be recommending this gem to our friends. One of our favorite getaways ever!

Great location. All Needed items. Was informed prior to going to bring extra towels for the hot tub and that was nice to know in advance. We got a foot of snow the day after we arrived and there were two snow shovels for our use and we needed both of them. Will hope to stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mountain escape. The beds were very comfortable and there were nice big bath towels. Everything was clean and the kitchen was clean and accommodating. The big pantry in the kitchen was a big plus. It was a great place for snacks, our food and etc. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Definitely will tell my friends.

Decently renovated double-wide Airbnb. Reasonably clean. Private back porch with a hot tub. 5 stars for the very responsive and super helpful host!!! The location was excellent, just minutes from Wisp Resort and town! Great value!

We had an amazing time at this Airbnb! It is so close to Deep Creek, New Germany, & Swallow Falls park. It is also walkable to a breakfast cafe, pizzeria and boat rental. It was oddly cold in May during our visit, so we loved having the sunny deck to relax on in the morning and a warm fire each night in the indoor fireplace. The host was responsive to our questions and we felt right at home.

Gorgeous spot to get together with family. The house is pristine and well appointed. Great communication from the host! Will definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay at Our Happy Place! From the moment of check in through our entire stay, Dijana was extremely communicative and flexible. She provided information on things to do in the area and was flexible with our stay due to a snowstorm. The playroom was amazing and the kids loved the video games and foosball. Overall, a wonderful time and we hope to return soon!

Steve is an amazing host! I was appreciative of how quick/responsive he was and Steve provided thorough instructions which made our check-in super easy. His AirBnB was very comfortable and easily slept our group of 12. This house is very private and the bedrooms/restrooms were in pristine condition. The house is full of amenities and was not a far drive to restaurants/walmart/etc.

10/10 visit! We had an amazing weekend here and would absolutely love to come back. It was the perfect spot with much to do and lots of fun to be had both inside and outside of the house. David was also very helpful and responsive throughout the entire process.

This stay was perfect for our group of 10! Everything was tidy and clean. I loved the hot tub and pool table. I really loved how each floor had many games. They all came in handy for our rainy weekend. We had pizza from Brenda’s that we were able to walk to. We grilled the next night, which the host kindly has propane available for use. The kitchen was fully stocked for all our cooking needs. The beds were comfy and there were many bathrooms that no one really had to share a bathroom. Lastly, the host and her cleaner was so kind to coordinate and bring us extra toilet paper and paper towels very quickly when I reached out. I would highly recommend this Airbnb and would stay here again.

What a treat! The lake house was so spacious, clean, and well appointed. The three floors allowed for lots of together, small group, and alone time options. Our family - three generations including teens and an octogenarian - had a great time cooking together, playing billiards, soaking in the hot tub, playing air hockey, watching movies, and seeing wildlife. Our hosts had great recommendations for restaurants and boat rentals. Wonderful memories were made, and we highly recommend! Thanks for your gracious hospitality, Idalia and Dennys.

We enjoyed our stay during a snowy weekend in February! It was very clean and had everything we needed. Since it was snowing, we definitely needed 4 wheel drive to access the road. The hot tub was great. The only draw back was the lack of privacy in the upstairs bedrooms. Other than that, it was a lovely vacation.

We were there for my best friend's bachelorette party and had the best time it was perfect for the 6 of us and everyone was raving about how clean and cozy everything was!
