Magical! Surrounded by astounding beauty and the sounds of nature, this is a writer’s paradise! The photographs do not do justice to the view from the porch — we sat on the porch for hours, from drinking coffee & watching the fog in the early morning light to watching the sun set behind the mountain to stargazing at night. Sara Jean & Liam were always very responsive and Stanley’s hospitality (their friendly pup) made us feel right at home! Sara Jean is also a brilliant reiki teacher and offered a wonderful session to close out our stay. If you’re looking for a quiet place away from the hustle & bustle of the world in beautiful nature, this is the place.

What an incredible spot! The private and peaceful surrounds make a couple days away feel a lot longer. The lovely dogs visiting, watching the turkeys roam, and sleeping to the frog chorus ... All magical. Not to mention it being a great base for exploration of the Avenue of the Giants. We are already looking forward to returning.

We had a fantastic stay at Lawrence and Kym’s place! The location was absolutely perfect—close to several great hiking trails. The space itself was spacious, clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials. The hosts, both of whom are artists, nicely decorated the home with their art. Lawrence was incredibly responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. Overall, a great experience and we’d definitely stay here again!

Hunter's cabin was perfect for a four day stay in the Avenue of the Giants with our family of two adults and one 4 year old. It's small and you won't have a lot of privacy but if you're with close company and in the area for the outdoors that's not a problem. Kitchen was well equipped, bed was comfortable, our kid slept on the couch that converts into a futon though they also had an extra mattress of we wanted it. The neighbors have a rooster so you will hear him cockadoodlin' at dawn which was not a problem for us since we woke bright and early to enjoy the surrounding area! The location in Weott was incredible! Easy access to everything exciting in the area. Hunter was extremely responsive when we had questions! Thank you Hunter!
