Cosy Farmhouse

KateRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a great stay at the cottage, it was really as great as the photos, in a lovely location and very well equipped. We particular enjoyed the outside space and our little dog was safe and loved running around the enclosed garden.

Peaceful getaway with riverside walks

AdamRating, 5 stars12 months ago
I needed someone to relax in peace and quiet to write. I couldn’t have picked a more perfect location. With a lovely view of my own private little garden with mature trees and in the quietest little hamlet just south of Aylsham, 30 mins drive from Norwich. The first day I went for a little evening walk by the river, or rather a kind of small river delta with little meter wide channels wending across a grassy plain, and saw a swan gliding along the water at sunset. The usual supermarkets and other shops in Aylsham and a mini M&S minutes away at a Shell garage on the A140. The Burgh valley railway is close by but as it’s a little miniature steam train this can only add to the ambience with a gentle toot-tooting every now and then. Kate and her partner Simon were the perfect hosts. 10/10.
The exterior of a traditional two-story brick cottage is depicted, featuring a blue front door and multiple white-framed windows. A gravel pathway leads to the entrance, bordered by potted plants. The surrounding area includes a spacious, enclosed garden with a grassy lawn.

Hall Cottage, Marsham

NicoleRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Lovely cottage, just as the ad described, which was very well done and decorated. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into the interior. Its a cute cottage with original features, steep stairs and wooden floors to keep the charm (but note door latches and old floor boards meant it can be a bit noisy, only an issue for us when we were trying to nap the baby 🙈). Heather was a great host - very fast responses on messages and flexible where she could be (earlier check in for us). She also went back in after we left to find an item we had left behind and is posting it back to us. Super helpful. As a couple of the other reviews had said, the cottage and driveway isnt easily seen from the road - it is very close to Mill Lane, and from the other direction just after the sign showing a road on the left is coming up.

Excellent communication with Jill from the onset. Clear instructions, easy to get in on arrival. Gill had kindly left some very welcome provisions for us. We enjoyed a peaceful stay at the cabin, in close proximity to places we wished to visit. Definitely recommend.

Rivers Rest

WendyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A real home from home holiday home, comfortable and stylish and the use of space was second to none. A very comfortable bed and a good sized garden area with table and chairs, a bbq and a chimenea. River access was a few minutes walk away and ideally located for National Trust properties, market towns and villages. Responsive and friendly hosts who rightly take pride in their holiday let.

Little Owl Barn, Aylsham

HazelRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Olivia, Russell and their family made our stay at Little Owl Barn very memorable. The property was perfect for our needs and in a fantastic location. It was quiet and peaceful with negligible traffic noise but literally only a 5 min drive into Aylsham, or if you wanted, a very enjoyable short walk next to the miniature railway into the town. Aylsham is a lovely market town with a great selection of independent shops, pubs and eateries. Their property was fitted out to a very high standard, perfect kitchen and all the rooms were large with loads of natural light plus it has two separate outdoor areas to enjoy and follow the sun around. Olivia and Russell were very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had and always very helpful. I can wholeheartedly recommend this property and will definitely be planning a return visit. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

The Retreat cabin in the woods

SophiaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We had a lovely stay with the dog! Particularly enjoyed the paddock behind and saying morning to the neighbouring horses. Views amazing from the cabin and plenty of nearby walks. We strolled into the village and visited a local tea room for lunch and spotted 3 deers on route on the old railway walk. Bed was comfortable and all amenities to hand! Hope to stay again!
