The Old Shippon at New Ringstones Farm

Our stay was amazing. Such a quiet and secluded location and lovely pub down the road. One thing to note is make sure you read the instructions clearly to get there as we took a wrong turn down a road that was not for driving!

Woodland Lodge

Had an absolutely lovely stay here! Location was perfect, and check in was an absolute dream. Host was super communicative before we got there so we knew exactly what to expect before we arrived. Furnishings wise there was everything we needed there, heads up you will need to bring everything food wise as not even tea or coffee in the property but there’s a corner shop less than 10 minutes walk so that wasn’t a problem at all. Lots of lovely walks and things to do close to the property and the hosts had left a bunch of leaflets for local attractions and listed out a few local places to eat and drink which was super helpful. Previous reviews have mentioned being under a flight path but we didn’t really notice this and wasn’t an issue at all during our stay. Really nice touch that the Tv was already logged into Netflix so we could watch Tv in the evenings. The WiFi and phone signal wasn’t amazing but that’s what you expect when being so rural. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway :)

The Farmhouse, High Peak

The house was spacious and well equipped with beautiful surroundings. We really appreciated the touches of a welcome basket, fresh flowers and dog treats and toys. We loved the fact we could access footpaths from the door and that we could walk to a pub for evening meals. It is one of the best holiday houses we have stayed in and we would highly recommend it.

The Barn

Although my wife's disabilities made a few aspects of the accommodation a bit challenging for her, we nevertheless had an excellent and enjoyable stay in a really immaculately presented and spacious house. Marion, the host, was very solicitous when we first arrived to check that the access to the house and within the house was suitable for my wife's mobility and other problems. Having two ensuite bathrooms, plus a third one downstairs made everything very easy. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the views were beautiful. The only downside was that the mobile phone signal was very weak, but for a quiet relaxing break in beautiful surroundings that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Wicket Green Cottage

TracyRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Absolutely perfect, and we got to watch a women’s cricket match from the balcony, which was a lovely way to spend a summers evening. The village is quintessentially English, pretty little brook running through its centre, and under the balcony, a stones throw away there’s a well stocked village shop, couple of restaurants, and several pubs. Everything we met was helpful and friendly, exactly what we want when we travel. Ant was a great host, we had one of two minor questions like you do, which he quickly resolved.
