Vacation rentals with beach access in Mariato District

Had a great stay and will definitely come back. Nice clean room, guest kitchen with all you need. Yari was super welcoming and friendly. Communication with her was easy and she‘s always ready to help.

I had an amazing stay at this beachfront studio! The location is so peaceful with stunning ocean views and quiet nights. The host was responsive and incredibly kind, bringing fresh basil and tuna, which made the experience even more special. The studio is spacious, clean, and maintained, with a new air conditioner and fresh smelling linens. ..even the bedspread. Washer/dryer was outdoors downstairs and nice to have. The beach is right outside, perfect for walks and exploring the rocks at low tide. I felt very safe as a solo traveler, and Starlink internet with a backup battery and generator available if needed. Just note that there’s no cellular service, so you’ll need internet for calls and I’d recommend bringing a voltage regulator to protect your electronics as power in the area is unstable. Also, the road to Cambutal has some potholes, so take your time. Overall, I’d definitely return – it’s a wonderful, peaceful spot!

Wunderbare Lage direkt zwischen dem Strand von Guanico und dem Fluss. Auch mit dem Bus erreichbar. Gute Kommunikation und hilfsbereit bei Fragen. Surfboardsmiete direkt vorort. Zimmer mit AC und kleinem Kühlschrank, perfekt für die heissen Temperaturen. Kommen gerne wieder.

A gem perfectly situated between the jungle and the waves. The Wave House is a magical place surrounded by swaying trees and the sound of the ocean. The accommodations are clean, beautiful, and perfectly located in Cambutal. Fabrizio and Katja are warm and welcoming as hosts. You can feel that they love sharing their special place with others. I cannot wait to return!

Our family of 6 (originally 8) was looking for an off the beaten path beach vacation. This property was just that, and comes with a very friendly and helpful caretaker. The house is large and comfortable, 5 min walk up a steep hill from a large sandy private beach. We enjoyed swimming boogy boarding and surfing with boards kept at the house. There is plenty of running water from a spring (which host says is potable but we filtered) and solar power/batteries which fyi does not run the fans all night. We appreciated the 3 supplied chitra-proof bug netting on the beds. We paid extra for (and the caretaker arranged for) a fishing trip, a snorkeling trip, a typical Panamanian dinner, and transport from the island back to playa reina. The caretaker makes sure to speak Spanish slowly enough that we can all mostly understand! We all loved our time on cebaco at casa purumpu and hope to return.

This is really an incredible place. Big spacious ceilings and the highlight is really the porch / patio. Staying up the hill a bit from the main road in Cambutal was totally worth it. It had awesome ocean views from the porch every evening. Lying in the hammock every morning watching the ocean was hard to beat. The kitchen had everything we needed--gas range, kettle, etc. The washer and dryer worked really well. We needed our hot water worked on one day and his property manager was incredibly responsive and on scene immediately to fix the issue. I would recommend staying at this place!

One of the most beautiful homes I’ve stayed in on Airbnb. Thoughtfully designed, well appointed, fresh cut flowers, great amenities (outdoor shower, hammock, excellent WiFi, surfboard rental)….the list goes on. Importantly for me, no clutter, yet the home had a spirit which is so often the struggle on this platform. The location itself is ocean front, shared with two other homes. Cambutal is remote, you do feel like you’re in paradise from time to time, but there are enough modern outposts in town for you to eat and shop. Cheers to our hosts, much gratitude for this wonderful home you’ve created. We hope to be back soon!

Sayan has a very impressive, virtually new house, located on a stunning, secure, very large lot with well cared-for tropical plants and trees filling your view in every direction. The house was so clean, it gave me the sense I had to be one of the first people to have had the chance to stay there. Check this out. Fully equipped kitchen with all upscale appliances. True secured, high speed WiFi for internet and television. A full laundry room with washer and dryer. Any questions I had, during my 6 days, were quickly responded to by either Sayan or his close-by associate Ivette. I could not have asked for, or expected, anything more than what I experienced here.

Private and peaceful cabin. Convenient location. The owner went out of his way to accommodate changing our booking dates due to an unexpected circumstance. We enjoyed the evenings in the hammocks on the deck, listening to the sounds of the jungle.

We really enjoyed our stay at Los Islotes. The house is brand new, just like a model home. During the rainy season, it may be a little tricky to reach the community if the road is washed out. But everyone was very helpful and made sure we could get there! Once inside the community, everything is accessible even during heavy rains. Overall, what a wonderful opportunity to get away for a little bit while still being fairly easy to access. Hope to visit again!

Yvonne has a beautiful place - an entire former hotel - just a few minutes walk from Playa la Reina, which is a lovely beach with a big river (Rio Mariato). This is a gentle spot for surfing but a bit rough for swimming unless you catch it at the right time (mid to low tide seemed to have the gentlest waves). Near the mangroves. Fantastic birds. Be sure to visit the beach at night too - we saw beautiful neon blue phosphorescent plankton, just as the outer waves were breaking... Yvonne was super responsive and friendly, she answered all our questions really quickly. And her housekeeper Fatima was wonderful. She came in to clean each morning, she was extremely kind and helpful. This is great spot especially if you're a big group - there's a large well equipped kitchen for cooking, a gas grill for bbq, a big shaded eating area right next to the pool, all surrounded by lots of smaller nearby buildings with bedrooms - possibility to sleep 12 in total.

We hebben 3 nachten verbleven en vonden het een fantastische plek. Rustig gelegen op een mooi complex. De badkamer en keuken waren brandschoon, en het kingsize bed erg comfortabel! Met 20/25 minuten rijden sta je in het centrum van Santa Catalina waar je een overvloed aan restaurants vind. Brett was goed bereikbaar en heeft ons voorzien van veel informatie over de omgeving en activiteiten. We zouden hier zeker terugkeren!
