Casa do Samuel is a colonial house, in a typically upper-middle-class neighborhood, next to the Pilar church. It is perfect for resting after a day going up and down the hill! For those who prefer to relax with a beer, our street-level lounge/bar is “the” place to feel part of the landscape. For the contemplative, we have a hammock on the balcony overlooking our churches. We can accommodate up to 5 people in an en-suite, a bedroom and an extra mattress. We have free parking 30 meters from the entrance.

D. Nadir is a lovely person, she was very helpful and attentive during the stay. We had a problem with the shower, but she promptly solved the issue. The place is simple, but met our needs (bed and bath). It's close to the historic center, so we were able to do everything on foot (10 to 20-minute walks). The street is a dead end, and therefore very quiet. The neighborhood is quite safe to walk back at night. The city is very humid and cold, so I recommend bringing warm clothes and, if possible, an extra blanket. I just don't recommend the place for people with mobility issues, due to the stairs and walks on the hills until you reach the historic center.

We had excellent service from Wederson, always very helpful and attentive! The structure of the house was great — everything was very clean and organized, with super comfortable beds that ensured great nights of sleep. The location is a little far from the center, but you can easily get around by taxi or bus. We chose not to use the car, as the local traffic and the difficulty of parking made it less practical to travel. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. We recommend it!

Simply amazing, the house is much more beautiful than the photos and super cozy, the view is a lookout in itself, a little difficult location due to the slope but nothing that an uber or a slower climb does not solve, the host is super nice and was very flexible with the check in, nothing to complain about. I guarantee👍🏾 that it will be the best place to enjoy the city.

Patricia's Colonial House was exactly like the photos, very beautiful, especially for those who like the style. Great location, 15-minute walk to Tiradentes Square/Historic Center. Virtually no hills on the way (which is great when talking about Ouro Preto). About Patricia, she was a great host. Super helpful, answered all our questions, gave several suggestions. We talked a lot too. I would certainly return to the Colonial House at the next opportunity.
