This is our second time at Sunset Cottage and we loved our stay here. The location is perfect for a peaceful getaway. The grounds are amazing. And so is the rooster and his hareem of hens! The back garden with views out onto the fields was gorgeous.

what a great place. Exceeded our expectations. Nice welcome pack on arrival and gratefull that the little things we're all provided (tea, coffee salt, pepper, dishwasher tablets etc. ) Other places you have to go and get. The house is exceptionally equipped. So looking forward to returning. Many thanks Rob and Gill. Left feeling totally relaxed.

Had a lovely few days in Ashbourne. Bungalow lovely with a large sitting room/dining room with open plan kitchen. Large back garden that we were able to enjoy having had beautiful weather. 15 min walk into town down hill - but meant 15 min walk uphill - we caught a bus once. 😀

Quiet and rural location and quaint house, it was a delight to stay. I came from London so it was the perfect place to run away from the noise and unwind. The place is also good for children, there’s a bed in a sort of loft situation in the upstairs bedroom, perfect for a young child. As well as a trampoline and they also have a fire pit. The place is a bit difficult to find even with google maps, but I would say a part of that was due to not being used to country roads. I would return here again!

Myself and my best friend stayed here for a little getaway and we both absolutely loved it! The place its self was spotless, tidy and fresh. The kitchen was well stocked so we could make ourselves breakfast. There’s a footpath close so we could just go for lovely long walks at our doorstep, with local pubs nearby. There’s hosts were so responsive and really friendly and gave us some great suggestions for local places to go. Would definitely come here again!!

We had the best time staying here. Perfect getaway for the two of us. Short walk into Ashbourne along a public footpath. The village of Mappletown was also beautiful, so peaceful, 5min walk to the local pub that had a great vibe and lovely outdoor seating. There is a car parking space off the road, comfortable sofa/lounge area. The kitchen had everything we could need. The bedroom was perfect size with a large bed beautiful countryside views from the window. Would recommend to anyone visiting the peak district. Also amazing value for money!
