Great location, listing exactly as described, fun place to stay and hosts very responsive and welcoming, would definitely recommend

Such a beautiful part of the country, the house looks out over the valley and in a few short minutes you can be at the river. The house with its two fires and stacks of dry firewood made the place cosy when the day turned cold. We went with family and felt a bit off grid with no tv and so loads of games and plenty of laughs made a much better option. We loved being able to bring out dog and having a weka just outside our window for much of the day.

Hermit Heaven. I stayed for a week in the winter and loved it. Meditating with the fire for hours, sitting by the creek, sleeping in the super comfortable bed, in the silence of a hut with no electricity or distractions. It was like being in a stone-earth womb. Pete, Christine, Calli and the family are caring human beings and great hosts. Would love to return.
