The Wickham House was originally built in 1790 as a tavern and later purchased in 1837 by Rev. Dr. Joseph Wickham, legendary headmaster of Burr and Burton. Unique Vermont Barn Experience! 1880s restored barn on 2 acres in Manchester Village across from Southern Vermont Arts Center. Converted to a photo studio in 2004 when we moved from NY; spacious, comfortable, solar-powered, approx. 1 mile to Main St. (town roads, no sidewalk), close to shopping, restaurants, golf, hiking, skiing, etc. Beautiful views, Mount Equinox front, the Green Mountains back. In Town Manchester Studio w/ Loft Bedroom.

The Barn, situated behind our house, is located just a few minutes walk to the center of Manchester. It is a studio setting with general living area on the main floor and a bedroom above in a loft. There is hot tub available to barn guest and a shared (with house) outdoor space. Very clean, very fun space with ample room, comfortable bedding. Perfect for two. (Note: Bedroom Loft is only accessible via a spiral staircase).

Carriage House

This renovated carriage house is one block from Main Street in historic Manchester Center and a 5 minute walk to a variety of restaurants, shopping and outdoor activities. Historic Manchester Village is a 5 minute drive. Bromley is a 10 minute drive and Stratton is a 25 minute drive. Guest privacy is respected by the hosts, who live in the original farm house and can quickly address guest concerns.
