Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Malgas

This is already our fourth time staying in Rigby's beautiful house. It is wonderfully located on the golf course, offering a peaceful atmosphere. It's a great starting point for many activities. Rigby and Jean-André are always easily reachable. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Heerlik gekuier in die magnige huis. Ek sou voorstel dat daar genoeg toiletpapier en skottelgoedwasser blokkies gelos word vir die aantal dae wat mens daar lead. Of mens moet vooraf inkennis gestel word dat jy extra self moet saamneem. Daar is nie groot winkels daar nie en toe ons ons after kom ons gaan extra benodig was die "local" winkeltjie reeds toe. Daar was slegs' n toiletrol per badkamer vir 4 mense vir 3 nagt. Daar was ook slegs 2 skottelgoed blokkies vir die masjien vir die 3 dae. Ek het nie 'n probleem om dit self saam te neem nie, maar dan moet mens vooraf kennis dra daarvan. Orals anders waar ons gebly het in die 3 weke het ek presies vooraf geweet dat daar sekere fasaliteite is en wat ons self moes saamneem. Veral as dit 'n klein dorpie is waar daar nie eintlik winkels is nie. Die verblyf was wonderlik, skoon en vriendelike gasvrou. Wifi het gewerk en dit was' n Winige spoed ook. Ek sal weer daar gaan oorbly!

We had a lovely stay at Kune Karoo. Really cosy house with beautiful views from the deck upstairs over Barrydale. The fireplace is great for those cold winter nights!

Sylvia’s place was marvellous. We would happily revisit. It’s a stone’s throw from the beach, soft white sand and warm ocean. The lovely heritage fishing village has delicious seafood restaurants. And Sylvia’s house was spacious, comfortable and clean; with sea and sunrise views.

Had a wonderful stay! Was very peaceful and we could totally relax. Eveything was clean and we really appreciated the extra touches such as complimentary champagne! The kol-kol was the highlight!

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The villa is incredible—spacious, stylish, and in a stunning location. The host was amazing, welcoming us with fresh bread and beverages, which was such a thoughtful touch. We were blown away by the attention to detail and the warm hospitality. We enjoyed our stay at the riverside cottage. The accommodation is simple but cozy, with plenty of relaxing spots around. We appreciated the lovely complimentary touches like coffee, tea, milk, butter, bread and water. There was lots of space for the kids to play, which made it even more special. A place full of good memories! I’m not sure is it’s okay but during the braai was lots of smoke in the house, I advise do it outside.

Spend two nights and it was lovely. Wish we stayed longer :-)

We had a fantastic experience at Patmos Stay and highly recommend their short-term rental. The cozy and charming setup is perfect for both winter and summer. Special touches in the suite made our stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely return to Robertson and stay at Patmos for a longer period next time!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The host and owner were both very friendly and helpful. The place was clean and comfortable, and had everything you would need for your stay. We worked remotely from here and the setup was perfect. It was very accessible to the lagoon for kitesurfing. Also had a nice big area for washing kiting gear.

Great place with AMAZING views. A bit dated as many places in SA and the wind is very noisy whistling through windows and doors. Would happily stay again and great for a group of friends or family who fish or kitesurf.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cottage! We visited with friends, and the setup was perfect—two bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, made everything so easy and comfortable. What truly stood out were the thoughtful touches: a little olive branch with chocolate on the bedside table and fresh, beautiful flowers in the bathroom—those small details made us feel really special. The combustion stove was a highlight too, keeping us cozy on the chilly evenings, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway. Overall, it was an amazing experience. We truly appreciated the care and attention put into making the place feel welcoming and memorable. Highly recommend!

It is unfortunate that AirBnB don't have a 6-star rating...as this would be one of them. Nice touches, including doggie biscuits. Thanks. Stunning view and tranquil setting. Well worth it.

I would highly recommend for any single person or couple visiting Swellendam. Even though you are in town you look out across the river and big trees which creates the sense of being on a farm. Bed was very comfortable and flexible check-in.

The Hacienda is the perfect place to unwind, braai and gaze at an incredible views for a few days. We got unlucky with the weather as it rained for half our time there, so if you are visiting in winter definitely take food that doesn’t need to be bbq’d or cooked in an oven and some games - definitely somewhere I would want to come back to in the summer! Very beautiful location. Perfect for relaxing, hiking, walking, cycling and braaing. We highly recommend Sam’s Place to anyone looking to spend time participating in the above.

We loved our stay at the Fairy Flycatcher. Sunsets here are pretty spectacular and we enjoyed spotting the guinea fowl in the garden. Monika is a great host, highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet escape.

The house is huge with more than enough space for everyone to relax. Fantastic Jetty and lovely part of the river for water sports. Great big entertainment area with indoor braai for all weather.

We had an amazing time staying at this beautiful house. Megan and Mike were incredibly welcoming. The house was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was fully equipped and the living and dining areas were perfect for our party of ten. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with fantastic hosts.

We stayed one night and really wish we were staying longer! The house is amazing, the grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed exploring the eating and drinking options in the village. Joe and Esther are friendly and provided great suggestions. We enjoyed our stay and if we come back to South Africa in the future this is on our list to return! Thank you for a lovely stay!

We had such a fantastic stay at this beautiful Arniston home! Our only regret is that we didn’t book for a few more days. The house is stunning — tastefully decorated and fully equipped with everything a family could need. Our children loved having the big garden to run around in, and being able to bring our fur child along made the experience even more special. The hosts were incredibly responsive and accommodating, and we truly had a wonderful, memorable time. We can't wait to return!
