Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Makarska

This place is beautiful. The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning. We saw the stars and heard owls at night. Has everything you need to make breakfast and do some basic cooking if you can be bothered, but there's lots of places to eat in the likes of Bol, with quite a few still open in the shoulder season. It is next to another kind of boutique hotel/airbnb thing but you're still afforded relative privacy from the terrace. Marijan gave us solid instructions on how to get there, but we still drove past the turn off so better to get there in daylight if you can. You will need a car. All in all such an amazing stay, the island of Brač has so much to offer, and this is a particularly idyllic spot. Thank you!

We had such a lovely stay! Vinka is a wonderful accommodating host. The location was incredible a quick walk to and from town with an amazing view. Would definitely stay here again as it had everything we needed and we felt very welcome

We loved staying in the town of Pisak. This place was really cozy, had everything we needed and was in a fantastic location to walk down to the beach and to a beautiful restaurant on the water! We’d definitely recommend going for a swim down at one of the small beaches - you’ll be greeted with crystal clear, warm water and a beautiful view of the mountains.

SHE House was as advertised. We quickly called her home feeling acclimated & comfortable. Our GPS sent us some terrible way initially but the locals were very friendly offering us assistance. Our host was patient & accommodating showing us how many ways to reach the house ("all roads lead to SHE House"). We really enjoyed how centrally located the home was to all things on Brac Island. We realized our visit was a bit early for the weather & the season when our original ferry from Makarska was cancelled due to bad weather but no worries we just had to go to Split. The wind was so strong it actually blew open the latched front door one afternoon. The soft throws in the basket were nice & cozy-really appreciated. Some of our favorite meals were at Pumparela Restaurant & Taverna Riva in Bol; Konoba Kopacina & Restaurant Ziza in Donji Humac; Gastro Diva in Makarska. Driving in Croatia is NOT for the faint of heart but if you happen to be on the D8 stop for coffee at Strada.

A truly idyllic place to unwind. We had a lovely week of swimming, kayaking and relaxing away from people (the property can only be accessed by boat so it is very peaceful and quiet). The host was very communicative - we can definitely recommend and would love to return to this unique property again!!

Maja's house is in a very nice location, on a hillside overlooking the sea, the islands of Hvar and Brac and mountains. We were traveling with the dog and could take many beautiful hikes from the house. The house is well furnished and the icing on the cake is the huge pool, where you can enjoy the magnificent sunsets. Maja welcomed us warmly and was always available for questions.

We had a very nice stay at the villa! The villa is in a quiet neighborhood where everything is easily accessible. Marko is a super nice host, very accommodating, warm and always available for a recommendation/tip 👍🏻 The villa is well maintained and clean.

A truly beautiful place in Podstrana, the highest house in the location it’s set in, we have felt incredibly lucky to spend ten days at Vinko’s lovely home. The view and terrace space is so beautiful, we didn’t feel like we needed to go and fill our days with activities because it was such an incredible place just where we were! We managed with taxis when we went for meals, never spending more than £10 to visit Split. Vinko was so helpful with recommendations from prior to our arrival all the way through to the end. The inside of the property has everything you need, the space is limited inside but this suited us as we were outside most of the time anyway. Would 100% recommend to anyone seeking a little luxury and relaxation.

If you are looking for paradise: this is it! We loved this House, the atmosphere, the fantastic view, the privacy, beautiful pool and the best pool chairs ever. There is a place to grill on woodfire and the garden is so beautiful and green and with flowers. Every room has it's own bathroom whitch is luxury. We loved every minute, so did our teenage kids, they loved the pingpongtable especially. thank you Lidija is a very nice host. We'll come back!

Staying at Katarina's Airbnb was an unforgettable experience! She is an amazing, sweet, and welcoming host who truly goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. The house itself is absolutely stunning—spacious, beautifully designed, and surrounded by nature. The views are breathtaking, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The area is incredibly private and quiet making it the perfect retreat for anyone seeking peace and relaxation. A few things to note, be prepared to drive, as you'll need a car to navigate the narrow streets uphill leading to the property. At first, the drive can seem daunting, but soon it becomes part of the adventure. The house is powered by solar panels, so there is no air conditioning, which we knew ahead of time. Although it occasionally got quite hot, we really appreciated the eco-friendly approach and adapted to it. Overall, it was a magical stay, and we are already looking forward to our next visit ❤️🌊🫒✨

Would definitely recommend this place and the host. The place is centrally located and was perfect for our family. The host always responded quickly and welcomed us warmly. Great recommendations on things to do/see and not least in restaurants in the area.

We had a wonderful stay and could not recommend the place more highly. Arranged as 2 flats with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the first floor and a larger flat spread over the 2nd and third floors of the building with 4 bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms. The upper flat had plenty of room for all 12 of us to eat around the table. With 4 “oldies” in our 50’s and 60’s with 8 young in their 20’s it was the perfect arrangement! Everything we wanted was within easy walking distance and you do not need a car! The plunge pool and outside space was larger than we had thought from the photos. Altogether a great holiday. Amazing Airbnb! The place was stunning. It looked exactly like it does in the pictures. The view from the airbnb is super beautiful and the little town is cute. The hosts were always very friendly and helpful. We felt super comfortable and would definitely stay here again.

The house is amazing and we had a wonderful stay with an extended family of 13 people - 9 adults and four children from 3-16 in age. The outdoor area is perfect for a big family. The view from the house over the bay of Makarska is exceptional. The apartments are spacious and well-equipped. I would fully recommend a stay in this wonderful house.

We were there as a group of girls and we can really only recommend it ☺️ Ana welcomed us very kindly, was flexible with our arrival time, showed us everything in peace and explained and even prepared a small welcome surprise 🥹 if we had a concern, she responded within a few minutes The house is perfect if you are looking for a place to relax, with great mountain views, heated pool and sauna ☺️ with three bedrooms and two bathrooms perfect for large groups. You have your peace and can really have a great vacation 🏖️

Beautiful villa and a beautiful boat transfer that they provided

Ivona is a wonderful host and the apartment is charming and well-equipped. I originally booked this trip with a friend and a plan to drive. I ended up travelling alone without a car. The apartment is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood up a hill, a 15-minute walk to the beach. I did not mind the daily walk and I appreciated being away from the crowded, tourist areas. The apartment has energy-efficient airconditioning and stayed comfortably cool. It felt very homey and authentically local. Ivona very graciously kept in touch me before my arrival, checked if I needed anything during my stay, and helped me get a ride to the ferry terminal after I checked out. Thank you again!

We had a great stay in Makarska. Neven and his mum were extremely welcoming and provided us everything we needed at the apartment. We loved how peaceful it was and only a short walk from activities in the town. Thank you!

We were very happy with our stay. There were stairs to the beach, which was a nuisance at high temperatures, but it didn't take longer than 10 minutes. The view from the deck was insane! The rooms had everything you needed. Everything worked flawlessly. Plus the availability of cleaning supplies, paper, and towels if needed. Ozren and his wife are a very hospitable and lovable marriage. We were given gifts, for which we are very grateful. We highly recommend staying in Podgora ! See you soon

We were very happy. Nice and clean accommodation, very welcoming owners Ante and Jasminka. To grill, Ante will prepare and clean everything. Come to the apartment, back a little from the kopecka, but no problem. We wanted peace of mind and a little more distant access to the sea. A small piece of cake right in the crusade, it's all there. We were very satisfied. If you want to go to the water by car, it wants to do it by 9am, otherwise you won't park much. The main part of parking places from the road to the water is charged 6euro/day, after noon there is no charge. Overall, Krvavica (jitrnice) is calm, quiet, forgotten village.

We stayed at Milena´s apartment for about a week over new years. The mountains behind the village had snow, yet it was sunny and warm most of the time so we could do extensive hikes and visit nearby towns. The apartment itself is incredibly beautiful and Milena just a fantastic host that warned us about road-blocks on our way from Austria to Croatia. Furthermore she gave us really some incredibly nice advice on what to do in the area. All in all we can highly recommend her place :)

Wow, what can I say…giving 5 stars and saying Amanda & Chris are the best air BnB hosts I’ve ever had still doesn’t justify it! The location of the hidden house literally could not be better. You are within a 45 SECOND walk to some fantastic restaurants, the water and at the heart of this little town. If you want to make the most of your time - Amanda will hook you up with Niksa, who picked us up from Split airport, dropped us off by speedboat, and took us out for our final day where we explored deserted bays, beaches and other hidden gems around the Paklinski islands. We went to Hvar town for the day and although we liked it, it made us realise just how special SG is - I’m so glad we did it this way round! If you come to Stari Grad, you HAVE to stay here, thank you guys! :)

Fantastic location and comfortable from the first second! The place is very clean and lovingly decorated, with everything you need – even small guest gifts surprised us. The hosts are extremely helpful, respond quickly and have given us great tips about the surroundings. Particularly impressive: you grow your own vegetables and herbs, which guests are allowed to use freely. We had a wonderful time in this little paradise, perfect for unwinding. The journey is via a road about 1 km long, not paved, but the path is worth it – and we were even helped with the luggage!
