This was our first time staying at the Candlebay Inn and we definitely will be back. Connie was so wonderful and sweet, greeted us at the door—gave us a brief tour and local recommendations. The Daisy Room was super cozy, very clean and quiet. In the morning, home cooked breakfast was delicious, Connie was nice enough to tell us about the backstory of the inn which we really enjoyed. 10/10 recommend!!

Dr. Jerr is a very kind and generous host - he provided us with fresh coffee and breakfast snacks each morning during our stay. We loved the location on Cape Elizabeth, close to Portland, and to many beautiful coastal and woodland trail walks. We came home laden with fish, flash frozen from the fish markets in Portland - thank you Dr. Jerr for your recommendation. We would wholeheartedly recommend staying with Dr. Jerr for exploring the stunning Maine coast and hope to find ourselves back on Cape Elizabeth again next year. Tom & Gillian Hamilton

Schoodic # 5 Ironbound Inn Near Acadia Upscale

IanRating, 5 stars9 months ago
This place was perfect for our trip to Acadia. We were greeted right in the restaurant and were showed up to our room with no hassle. Leslie reached out and was very responsive through text and when she met us she was friendly and very helpful with recommending good places in the area for our interests. The room was nice and quiet with a great king size bed. Even though there were apparently other guest in the adjacent rooms, we had no idea because of how quiet it was. The restaurant had some incredible food and if you're staying I would highly recommend checking it out. Her son owns an oyster farm nearby so needless to say they get some amazing seafood. All that to say I would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

Clary Lake Bed and Breakfast 3

Chad DouglasRating, 5 stars9 months ago
A Cozy, Welcoming Retreat in Midcoastal Maine! I just spent two nights at Clary Lake Bed and Breakfast. It was a wonderful experience. Rick and Linda, the owners, are celebrating their 20th year of running this charming B&B, and their passion for hospitality truly shines. The breakfasts were simply fantastic—delicious, homemade, and clearly prepared with care. Each morning started off with a warm, comforting meal that left me feeling ready for the day ahead. Worth about twenty dollars for a couple estimated. The location is perfect if you're looking for a peaceful retreat in the heart of Maine. The setting is serene, and Rick and Linda's local knowledge really helped me discover the hidden gems in the area. It’s also clear that families—especially grandparents with their grandchildren—find Clary Lake B&B to be a wonderful place to make lasting memories. I can see why, as the atmosphere is both welcoming and homey.

Cozy Glamping at Farm Bed and Breakfast in Maine

We would give this place 6 stars if we could. Mason & Christina made us feel right at home for our anniversary stay. The grounds of this place are so peaceful and serene. The farm to table dinners were some of the best food food we’ve ever had. Every detail of this airbnb was thoughtfully taken care of. Our only regret was that we weren’t able to stay here longer. A truly unforgettable airbnb experience.

Here’s a review based on what you shared: We were lucky to find Martha and Tim again after staying at one of their other locations, and once again, they exceeded our expectations. The space felt incredibly welcoming and peaceful, with thoughtful touches that made it truly unique and inviting. Echo and Hammy added a special charm to our stay, and breakfast was always a delightful experience. This place is a true gem, and we hope to visit for many years to come. Highly recommend!

“The Hideaway” Luxury Quiet Bedroom & Private Bath

Amy (Seltzman)Rating, 5 stars9 months ago
Michael and his partner were super friendly! Linens and bed were pristine, appreciated the terry cloth robes and slippers. Bed was extremely comfortable; blackout curtains enable you to sleep in. It's an old house that's been lovingly restored, but be aware the upstairs floors do slant a bit. You need to walk up a flight of stairs to your room. DVD player with TV available in bedroom. Very cozy. Michael offers Continental breakfast for you, on your schedule. Lovely artwork on the walls. Friendly, fluffy cat lives there too, but stays out of your room. Easy walking distance to downtown Eastport. You get a harbor view, just a few steps out the door. Michael is happy to share his extensive DVD collection with you, of old TV shows and films. Mini fridge in the room.
