Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Mahone Bay

We had a lovely weekend get away stay. The dome had all the necessities as well as a sauna. Lots of wildlife too.

We stayed at Mark's Place for two weeks of remote work and vacation and it was great! The location is just secluded enough to feel like you've gotten away but it's also an easy and pretty drive to Lunenburg for shopping and dining. We enjoyed watching the tides change from the living room couch and from the hot tub. Also, Mark's Place is fully stocked. It had every upscale item imaginable in the kitchen and each bathroom had its own set of towels, hairdryer, etc. It was also easy to communicate with Mark and his cleaning team and - for those who care - the WiFi was able to handle multiple laptops, phones and other devices without fail. As an added bonus, during our stay, we saw many different birds in the water and on the lawn, a deer family and a porcupine family.

The unit is exactly the same as description, the location is great too. Highly recommend!

Very cozy place! It was right by the water with a beautiful view. Very convenient as well. We were about a 30 minutes drive from Downtown Halifax. Ashley was very responsive and helpful. Beautiful place and amazing host! I'd stay there again. :)

This was such a lovely place to be able to stay at. Sean was very responsive and accommodating. The spot is beautiful, cozy, straight out of a story book, and had a perfect backyard to enjoy the lovely weather in!!

Amazing stay in an adorable, well furnished and colorful cottage close to the sea. The cottage itself has everything you need, including a wonderful hot tube. The location is just perfect, very quite and close to the sea as of the main touristic attractions. Last but not least, Sean and his husband were fantastic and so friendly - they made our stay even better. We Will definitely come back :)

Located on a picturesque small island, Mont’s place provides a tranquil and beautiful stay as you can dream of. With the exceptionally detailed information and instructions shared by Mont by email beforehand as well as in hard copies on site, it is easy to find and use what you need. We enjoyed every moment at the place, particularly cooking at the handy kitchen and playing UNO by the warm steel stove. The Crescent Beach that connects the island with the mainland is unique - you can drive on the beach in low tide!

A great place, we spent 3 nights and couldn't be any happier with the view and amenities.

Shobac farm is a unique architectural and farm experience. It was great to have gaffs point and Hirtle’s beach within hiking distance. The sheep were a constant fascination for our pup. Appreciated having access to a lap pool, steam shower and sauna. Thoroughly enjoyed having a wood fire and enjoying and vast country side views from the gatehouse.

We had 7 people travelling together and this place had all the room and amenities we needed. Big kitchen to cook in, great common area to relax in together and a fabulous view of the lake. It was early in the season so too cold to use the pool but it looked like it would be great. Thanks for having us!

The cottage in Hubbards was ideal for our stay. My daughter loved the little playground behind. Everything was clean and it was an extremely relaxing stay. Thank you for your great place and kind discussions whenever we passed each other during the days!

PAM & J.P were extraordinary. We were delighted with our stay and fell in love with Nova Scotia. The animals were an unexpected extra. Gustave is going to miss Maple a lot. Small comment WHICH IS NOT A CRITICISM. The refrigerator is not very big, so don't do too much grocery shopping at once. We arrived with too many things and not everything fit. But again, that's okay. There's a grocery store not far away. It's very easy. Just don't plan too far ahead if you have a big family like mine. The pool is amazing!!!!! Close to lots of beautiful beaches. We had a great time with the family!!!

Fantastic hosts. Dream heritage property with total privacy and a heated pool in a park like setting; we booked that property pretty much every year for the last seven years. Rob and Barb are constantly improving the property, there is always something new to discover, whether it's a new appliance, or a brand new landscaped river frontage inviting you to sit and watch river and ocean life whilst sipping a glass of tasty red provided with the welcome basket. We enjoyed eating out at the Lunenburg restaurants, as much as we enjoyed cooking a delicious meal at their place, which is fully equipped, one can easily cook up a gourmet meal. Golden! we absolutely loved our stay in the cottages! We were able to use a lot of their amenities, Kayaks, boat, pool.. it was so much fun and we made some great memories as a family! Thank you to Katelyn for the great cottage and customer service, we hope to come back again :)

My family and I had a wonderful stay! Jill was super responsive and had recommendations for local seafood restaurants! Would definitely stay again next time we’re in Halifax. The place felt very homey and clean!

My husband and I have stayed on Herman's Island before, but this was our first time staying at Joshua's place. We always find the location tranquil and relaxing, and this cottage did not disappoint. Nestled in the woods, it was the perfect, quiet recharge we needed for our anniversary. The cottage had everything we needed, the host was super responsive, the balcony was the perfect spot for a morning coffee on the water, our dog felt right at home in the wilderness, and the card they welcomed us with for a special weekend was a very nice touch. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely stay here again in the future - Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!

We stayed at Dean's place this past weekend and from the moment we pulled into the location it was amazing. The landscaping, the modern design and the technology was great. Bluetooth speakers inside and out. No expense was spared in the design and building of this property. Would love to go back when it's a bit warmer and enjoy kayaking on the lake. Beds were comfortable and the entire space was very spacious.

Absolutely perfect is how I would describe Kristine's place. Nestled in an ocean cove, the boathouse is clean, bright and extremely cozy. The woodstove was nice for the cool nights. Amazing views and access to the water. I didn't use the kayaks but I walked the beautiful trail at Graves Island Park which is a one minute drive from the boathouse. Grocery shopping is a few minutes drive to Chester. Easy driving distance to Lunenburg, Bridgewater and South Shore beaches. I let Kristine know ahead of time that I was towing a utility trailer and she made arrangements for me to park it at a nearby property. Thank you Kristine! Great host, great stay, great area. I did not want to leave but I will be back!

Ian and Sandi’s family cottage was perfect, like finding a piece of paradise. It was even more beautiful than the pictures and descriptions portrayed. Beds and linens were amazing, kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need, beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. It’s spacious both inside and out. We can’t wait to go back.

My best friend, pups and I had a wonderful time at the lakeside cottage. It was so cute and the surroundings were incredible!

Very clean, very well equipped, very dog friendly. It's about a 20 min walk to the waterfront for brisk walkers. We loved the massive backyard and the very private feel of the house, despite being on a main road. We were very happy and would definitely stay again.

Jason was a fantastic host! He met us when we arrived and provided great tips for the area, as well as some cool history. The cottage was a beautiful slice of maritime charm, very comfortable and with incredible views. Our family would definitely stay here again.
