Lake house vacation rentals in Maggie Valley

Daniel and Anna were GREAT host. The home was clean, quite and a great location for motorcycle riding. We loved it and would love to go back.

We had the most amazing and relaxing time on the property, everything was clean and gorgeous. The sound of the river was wonderful and a great way to relax as well as being beautiful. The home was also well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. The porch was a little oasis from the home itself and you could sleep out there it was so calming. The owners Dawn and Randall were very communicative and accommodating and made this process as easy as possible! We are definitely coming back to the area and would love to reserve this place again. 5/5 stars

This house was super comfortable, and the location is ideal for enjoying the Tuckasegee river centrally located close to Sylva and Dillsboro. The kitchen is updated with all the amenities. The two bedrooms are comfortable and the porch is well done and very relaxing. We also enjoyed bonfires at night in the adjacent fire pit

This is the kind of place AirBnb was made for. Such a homey space with unique style and personal touches. We enjoyed disconnecting and relaxing inside and out during our stay. The place was well kepted and well equipped for a laid-back long weekend. It was clearing kept clean and tidy but it did have a strong musty smell when we arrived. It mostly aired out after a day with the windows open, but I have to warn others as I know it can be a big issue for some. However, my husband, pups, and I wouldn't pass up the chance to stay again when we want to visit Lake Fontana.

This home is beautifully decorated in what I would describe as sophisticated forest with a bit of whimsy. You can tell that the owners put their heart into it and enjoy staying there as well. We were impressed with all of the details and the very well equipped kitchen where everything is labeled. It was very well maintained and clean. The pond is a peaceful place to walk and enjoy spotting ducks, fish and turtles.

Matthew’s place was very nice and cozy. Definitely one of the cleanest and best stocked cabins I have ever stayed in! We had a few hiccups in our trip (mainly issues caused by weather, nothing anyone could help). However, Matthew stayed in constant communication throughout the trip and kept us up to date with information we needed regarding the weather caused outages and the such and made sure we were taken care of. I can truly tell that he goes above and beyond for his guests. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location and very peaceful. Extremely clean and well stocked. We stayed in the winter, so the lake was low, but we knew that going in. Parking and stairs down to the door can be a little trickey, especially at night. As others have said, dont bring a boat to the property but take it to a marina. There is limited ability to turn around. Would certainly stay again.

Beautiful, secluded location. Perfect ti get away from it all. Make sure you bring anything you need with you, the closest town is 25 min away. Great hiking nearby.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Belle Viste! We have stayed in many Airbnb’s, and this is probably the best experience we’ve ever had! This cabin was comfy and homey. The kitchen was stocked with literally everything one could want and need for preparing meals. Beautiful dining area, and the cabin is decorated with such interesting items and beautiful original artwork. The working fireplaces really added to the cozy vibe as well. There were gorgeous views and nature out of every window. Comfy beds and three full baths! Just can’t say enough! Pat was SO communicative and helpful - he checked in to make sure we arrived safely and that everything was as expected (and it was!) He also put two items in the mail which we left behind. A truly accommodating and kind host! We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay at Belle Viste during this winter holiday. Now we’re hooked and hope to return this summer. This was such a beautiful place to stay while we were witnessing my daughter’s graduation from WCU. It was so spacious, clean, and had gorgeous views, all while being minutes away from the University. The host was so proactive with communication and instructions for check in and out. The place was SPOTLESS. It’s an unforgettable trip!

Our family of 8 really enjoyed our stay at this home. Best parts: right across the street from the lake with a small dock great for fishing. Beautiful views! Sat on the porch and watched the sunrises. We brought our own kayak-found a little spot to put it in right by the dock. Can’t beat the location and the house was lovely. We had spaces to get away from each other when needed (if you have teens), also enjoyed the great gathering places for larger families like the dining room and den with sectional. This felt like home in almost every way. There were extra towels, the beds were comfy, lots of fans. The upstairs with wall of windows was amazing before and at sunset-Hot during the day but lovely at sunrise. Loved the different room options and felt like we could spread out. Played corn hole out back, enjoyed fire table. We cook a lot and noticed a few items could be added for the groups who stay in and cook - but overall we made do and enjoyed our time in this large comfy home.

At first I thought that it was going to be too far away from everything but it was a perfect location. Steve was very prompt in responding to any needs we had while we were there. It was the perfect place for our New Year's getaway. I will most definitely stay again. Thank you for everything Steve.

As a family, we enjoyed every minute of our stay at Amy’s place. It had all the amenities that made three generations of family comfortable. The view is breathtaking and the access for hiking and lake enjoyment couldn’t have been more user-friendly. Amy’s detailed information made our visit exactly what we had hoped! Everyone of us would go back for another vacation. Amy was a very responsive and gracious host.

This is by far the best airbnb i have ever stayed at! The house was absolutely wonderful, equipped with everything you could need. We traveled with 4 adults and dogs and there was plenty of room for everyone. The beds were very comfortable, and the house was able to be kept at a comfortable temperature. The house was perfectly clean when we arrived. The view is amazing and you get to look at it while preparing your meals and while eating them. Sitting out in the front yard is the perfect place to get a good tan and enjoy the views. There is plenty to do around the lake that you really don't have to leave the entire time if you don't want to. The activity pass was a nice touch and added to the value of the stay, but the rentals for things like pickelball/tennis/shuffleboard don't open until 11 during the week. So bring your own equipment if you want to play earlier and beat the heat! Kathleen is a fantastic host, checks in often, and is quick to answer any questions.

We loved the home and location. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils needed to prepare meals. The pool was set at a comfortable temperature for us to enjoy in the evenings, as well as the hot tub. Loved sitting on the decks in the morning having coffee. We had no trouble with the road or driveway to the cabin, we were driving a minivan. We found the beds to be comfortable, they are firm, but that's what we prefer and the couch is super comfy to relax and watch tv. David was very responsive to a couple questions we had. Definitely recommend this cabin for family vacations.

Beautiful place to stay! The house is fully renovated with a great kitchen and bathrooms. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. Brian was great to work with. Clear instructions and very responsive to questions. Hope we can stay here again soon!

Had a great stay at here, plenty of space and great location, fairly close to tail of the dragon and other great roads like blue ridge parkway. Would recommend this to anyone.

The house and view of the lake is beautiful. Overall a great experience.

I planned a 5 night stay for my birthday week and a much needed vacation away from the hustle and stressors of everyday life. My boyfriend and I were impressed with the cleanliness of the space, available amenities, and the well-stocked kitchen. We loved being able to enjoy the use of the outdoor grill for dinners and access to floats and kayaks/SUP for the lake. You can tell Denise and David have really outfitted their space with their guests in mind. I also brought along my own kayak to use and appreciated being about to easily store it at the dock while not in use during our stay. I came into our stay with hopes for spending as much time outside on the water and surrounded by nature as I could, and truly feel like their space provided just that. We barely left the rental aside for a couple trips to the store and enjoyed cooking all our meals there. It was so rejuvenating to float in the water and not hear any noise from traffic or even other people. I'd definitely return!

We felt at home at the Quilted Corner the minute we walked inside. The amenities were the best I have ever received at a Lake Junaluska private home. The kitchen was very well appointed, the beds were so comfortable, and the view of the mountains from our deck filled us with peace. Our hosts were friendly, accessible, and clearly passionate about hospitality. We will be back!

David is the first host that was answering questions before they were asked. He had great recommendations and when we thought we had a little problem with the oven, he was willing to call someone on a Sunday to fix it but instead, he trouble the problem and my husband was able to get the oven working by simply unplugging and plugging it back in a few times due to a power surge. We were able to use the oven the rest of the stay and everything else was perfect. The kitchen is easy to cook in if you like to cook and they have everything you need to do So.

The place was beautiful and the scenery was magnificent. Only complaint was the drive up the mountain was a mile and a half on a gravel drive. But to get the views I guess you have to be adventurous. Gene was always willing and available to answer any and all questions and to make sure our needs were met. The location was only 15 to 20 minutes to get to Cherokee or Bryson City after you came down the gravel drive which was great. Also the town of Whittier was a cute little town that the river ran through and made for good fishing and cooling off from the heatwave that came through while we were there. All in all we were pleased with our stay and Gene made sure our needs were met.

AMAZING!!! Easily the nicest, most stunning Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at, and we’ve been to many!! Tim was responsive when I had a question. We will definitely be back!!

It was a beautiful and comfortable home and property. We felt right at home. And communication with Mahatmama was very convenient and fast.
