Family-friendly vacation rentals in Madison County

This is our third year coming to Karen’s home and it’s simply amazing. The views and location are stunning. We will definitely be back for year 4 next year!

Really felt like being at home, our doggie loved being there too, the hot tub was very relaxing. The back yard is moss covered and a lovely space. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and was really cute. The porch was fun to hang out on. I was able to use the work space to do some charts and some bills (I know - had to bring a little work on vacation). The work space had a multi purpose charging thingy so I bet they have a charger for most any device. You have to go to the Smokey Mountain Diner. The meals were really good. Go hike Max Patch Bald too! I will return here to hot springs to spend some more time.

If you want privacy, seclusion and the most amazing star gazing experience of your life (seriously!), this is the place for you! Come prepared to relax and take in the countryside with gorgeous mountain views and adorable farms dotting the landscape.

This place is amazing! We weee 2 families staying there and there was more than enough room for everyone. The property is beautiful, I could have hiked there for days. It is about 2 hours away from all sorts of attractions in different directions such as Gatlinburg, Beech mountain and more. The property care taker, Rob was extremely responsive, friendly and helpful. Overall, our stay was a huge success and we enjoyed every minute of it.

10/10! What an experience! This property is nothing like you ever experienced, unless you grew up on a farm 50 years ago. This property is not for the lazy, bougie or open-minded. If you want to experience nature, peace and bit of glamping then book “the egg” for an extended weekend. No noise or light pollution. The rushing creek sounds amazing 24/7. There are fascinating finds around every corner including the challenging corners you must drive to get here. Solar power run everything. The wifi worked great and the shower was always hot. Asheville is less than an hour away. Don is a wonderful host and answered any questions we had throughout the stay!

I don’t have a great way with words..but all I can say is I couldn’t have asked for a better location or better hosts!

Great space! Very CLEAN. Beautiful location. Adam was very responsive to questions. Home is private and picturesque yet a short drive to downtown Weaverville and Asheville. The home WiFi uses older encryption (TKIP) but I was able to use my cellphone as a hotspot for school/work. Personal devices connected to the WiFi fine. Both AT&T and Verizon cellular networks have strong signal here. This was minor and did not deter from our enjoyment of the residence or the trip itself. We had a wonderful time, and would return.

I cannot recommend this property enough! From the moment I stepped inside, I was blown away by how clean and spacious the home was. It was impeccably maintained, with every detail thoughtfully cared for. The layout was perfect for relaxing or entertaining, and it felt like a true home away from home. The cleanliness stood out the most—everything was spotless and fresh, which made the stay so much more enjoyable. The hosts clearly take pride in maintaining their property to the highest standard. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-maintained, and spacious place to stay, look no further. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone!

A great place to stay. We had 12 family members attending a wedding in the area. Everyone loved the home. It's a historic home, but all the modern conveniences.

We recently stayed at Paint Rock Farm and it was an enchanting experience. The Glamping Cabins offered cozy accommodations with breathtaking views of Pisgah National Forest. The serene ambiance, pet-friendly atmosphere, and warm hospitality made it unforgettable. The sustainable organic hemp farm and picturesque outdoor event spaces added unique touches. Highly recommend for a remarkable getaway with furry companions. ⛰️🐾♥️👍🏻 We will be back!

Genuinely not enough words to express how much we loved our short stay! Somehow the pictures don't do the property justice; the surrounding mountains and trees and farms are serene and peaceful and exactly what we needed. Elizabeth and Daron were both very friendly and responsive to any questions/concerns we had. If you aren't afraid to get a little dirty, definitely ask to be taken around to meet the animals! They're adorable and friendly and had us laughing the entire stay. Elizabeth even let our puppy play with her farm dogs (aka chase them around in circles) which may have been our favorite part of the trip. We truly had such a a lovely time, we're already planning our next stay in the fall! Can't wait to go back, thanks so much for everything!

I stayed for 3 months. Michael was a wonderful host, good communication and easy to work with. The cabin is very nice and peaceful with lots of wildlife and cows across the street. Only negative is the pot and pans were unusable so I just grabbed a cheap set at Walmart.

Beautiful home. Peaceful surroundings. Catherine was very accommodating to us. She was always available when I had questions. Would highly recommend this place.

We loved the cabin!! Sitting in the enclosed porch and listening to the creek water run down the mountain was very relaxing. Max Patch is just down the road and we went and saw the sunrise one morning. Thanks for the hospitality and for sharing your cabin!

We would 1000% stay again! We barely left the home because the views and the comforts were perfect for a vacation. They have every amenity you could ever ask for. There were appliances in the kitchen that we never used but we were impressed by alll of the options. The beds are comfortable and it’s easy to feel at home. As for the driveway- it is quite steep and looks intimidating but people that have experience driving on mountain roads will be totally fine! I made it with my Honda Accord. Book your stay, you won’t regret it!

The Barn was a great place for glamping; it was clean, projector and cots were enjoyed! The large kitchen area of the barn had a full sized refrigerator freezer and had 3 large glass door refrigerators like you’d see at a grocery store. There was a crockpot, coffee maker, plenty of dishes, plates, cutlery, etc. The bathhouse is steps away and very clean. There are curtains that don’t provide complete privacy in 3 stalls of the women’s restroom but one stall has a door and is private but that is also the shower. At least one stall can be used if you’d like more privacy. Bathrooms are very clean & spacious. The outdoor kitchen/covered dining area is perfect for eating or spending time with your group. The river access is across the street. There are rocky areas that create a rock slide that our kids enjoyed! The property does lie very close to the main road, even though it’s not a busy road. Be cautious with young kids/dogs. We’ll be back! Thanks Mo and Brenda!

My trip to the country cottage was such a welcome respite while working on an assignment in the area. Cozy, quiet and beautiful surroundings. Jerry and Deborah are so welcoming and lovely to be around. I learned much about the area from them and they were always checking in to make sure things were going well. I look forward to returning soon with my family to explore the area more and spend some time with my new friends.

We had a great stay at Misty's place! The house had tons of space and my kids loved hearing and looking for cicadas outside.

The photos of GeGe’s place are accurate. We used the kitchen for every meal and the kitchen had everything from olive oil to parchment paper. It was a nice surprise. Also Ticket and Tango are fantastic!

Exceptionally responsive when contacted prior to arrival and anytime we required owners input.

Charlotte was so friendly and generously accommodating! The space was very clean, cozy and in a very safe neighborhood right by downtown weaverville. Such a cute spot and will definitely be staying here again next time I’m in town.

The house is beautiful, very spacious and has everything you’ll need. I love the outside space….so peaceful and quiet and lots of trees around. The downtown area was only about 10 minutes away and has some great restaurants. Our visit was pretty different in that Hurricane Helene came during our second night there. The house held steady and the neighbors shared food and brought a chainsaw to help clear the driveway. We had no power, water, or cellular/internet and were unable to find gas for our car. Brenda graciously allowed us to stay as long as we needed, until we could get home safely.

Such a cute cabin in the mountain! Has plenty of room and space. Wonderful views as well!

The cottage is a great place to stay. It has easy walking distance to the Main Street of Weaverville. The cottage has perfect amount space for staying comfortable with plenty of amenities. I would definitely recommend this place.
