The Tipi has amazing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and all the wonders our little farm and community has to offers. We are convenient to many local attractions like hiking, swimming, brewery and vineyard tours and yet secluded enough to heal your stress, enjoy time with your family or simply a special time away from the grind. Secluded cabin close to VMI, W&L, and Lexington.

Our cabin was originally a grainery. We moved it to sit on a wooded knoll on our working sheep farm. Mornings can be spent relaxing on our front porch while watching lambs play. We offer a firepit and outdoor furniture to better enjoy the peaceful seclusion of our slice of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Guests are just 10 minutes to downtown Lexington, Virginia Military Institute, Washington & Lee University, Southern Virginia University & the Virginia Horse Center. The owner is a VMI alumnus.

Acorn Hill B&B: Apartment. With full breakfast

Acorn Hill in Lynchburg, Virginia, has an apartment which was built to accommodate larger groups and families. It is located next to our main lodge and on is the top floor of our Spa & Salon with a private entrance in the back. Small dogs welcome, additional fees apply (typically $25 per day per pet; discounts may be available for longer stays). All stays come with a made to order breakfast in our restaurant, the Bistro, located inside the main lodge.

Beautiful, spacious, private backyard with porch swing, tree swing, and outdoor lighting. Includes kitchenette with fridge/freezer, Keurig, microwave, toaster, small convection oven (big enough to cook a frozen pizza), as well as a small supply of snacks/breakfast items. Gorgeous tile bathroom with claw foot tub. Couch and loveseat for relaxing. Hulu and Netflix included, as well as board/card games. Includes desk area for studying/working.

Wards Rd. shopping and eateries are within 30 yards and LU campus is 0.8 miles. LYH airport is less than 2 miles and downtown is no more than 15 minutes. Private parking is available for guests. Also, a mid-stay charge of $75 for cleaning and linens is required for rentals of 2+ weeks.
