This beautiful property on the marvelous island of Capri enjoys the best possible location – smack in the center, a five-minute walk from the infamous Piazzetta – the main square of Capri. Access to the property is easy and stair free, by means of a small alleyway leading off of the main square, through a private gate leading through 8 steps down onto the grounds of the Villa.
The space
Named for the island’s historic main square, Villa Piazzetta is a private haven in the heart of Capri. It’s located just off the Piazza Umberto I, putting guests close to shopping, dining, beaches and other sights. But its charming outdoor living spaces, tucked amid lush gardens, give it the feel of a secluded retreat, while refined interiors and five bedrooms welcome up to ten friends or family members in elegant fashion.
A narrow alleyway just off the piazza leads to the gated entrance of this luxury vacation rental. There’s a pool and pool house tucked into a marble-paved terrace with loungers, sitting and dining areas on a sunny veranda facing the sea, an outdoor living room covered by an awning, and an al-fresco table set next to a pizza oven under the loggia.
Linked by stunning marble floors and graceful archways, the living spaces of Villa Piazzetta flow into each other. Slipcovered sofas and built-in window seats are comfortable places to sit and admire the views through the large windows. The marble floors continue in the formal dining room, where a glass-topped table seats six, but in the fully equipped kitchen, the focus is on the pretty tiled walls and backsplash.
Each of the property’s five bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom. There are four bedrooms with double beds, including one that has its own jetted tub and cot as well, and one with a twin bed. Beautifully patterned tile floors, high ceilings, and crisp blue and white bedding give the bedrooms a bright, traditional look that’s in keeping with the rest of the home’s elegance.
One of the premier destinations on the Amalfi Coast, Capri has long been popular with writers and artists on holiday, the jet set and honeymooners in search of sun and style. Villa Piazzetta is less than a 15-minute walk from some of the most iconic sights on the island, from the boutiques on Via Camerelle to the Augustus Gardens, and a 30-minute walk from the free Parco Astarita, a hidden gem perched high above the sea. It’s also a short drive from the beaches like Spiaggia di Marina Piccola, flanked by gorgeous scenery, and the emerald waters of Bagni di Tiberio.
