The stay at Cascina Lavanda was really a breath of fresh air! A perfect place to unplug from the daily hustle and bustle. My dog and I immediately felt at home: the apartment is spacious, super cozy, and that veranda overlooking the greenery… a wonder! Afternoons and evenings spent in total relaxation, surrounded by nature and peace. A huge thank you to Luigi, who was very kind from the first moment: always available, attentive and full of useful tips on what to do in the area. A real host! In addition, the location is very convenient for exploring the towns around Lake Maggiore, all within easy reach. In short, a beautiful experience in a slice of paradise. Thank you very much, Luigi!

Very nice and relaxing stay with wonderful view of the lake. The absolute highlight was the balcony with morning sun and fantastic views. Silvia was very nice and accommodating and welcomed us personally. An aperitif was already waiting for us in the refrigerator. Silvia provided us with valuable tips for the area and even took over the restaurant reservations for us, as our Italian was too bad for it. Absolute recommendation!!! Thank you Silvia

This is a beautiful hidden gem in lake Maggiore! Spectacular panoramic views from balcony and room. Perfectly setup for romantic stays and cooking your own food or bbq outside at the balcony. Filippo was a great host! Very helpful and responsive. Pack lightly as it’s a 4 floor walk up. We will definitely love to stay again at Filippo’s place!

The apartment is super nicely located with a fantastic view of Lake Maggiore. You can even enjoy the view from the bed. You can even relax on the balcony in the rain, as it is completely covered. Unfortunately, you have to go everywhere by car, as there were no pedestrian paths at the apartment. But by car you can quickly get to the surrounding villages with beautiful promenades and restaurants.

Terrazza sur lago surpassed expectations! We chose to come in from Lugano by Uber (a new service just offered in 2025), from there you do have some stairs to negotiate to the beautiful apartment. However, another option is to take a scenic ferry ride from Lugano to Gandria if you have time and want fewer stairs. Once you arrive, you will find the sparkling clean apartment better than the photos. The kitchen is spacious and very well fit out. A nice dining table provides great views of Lago Lugano. Two spacious bedrooms, both offer great lake views, one with a walk-out to a large patio area, with table, chairs, umbrella and comfy furniture for kicking back. We ate every breakfast out there taking in the lake. A quick 10 minute Uber ride puts you in Lugano - tons of restaurants, shopping and nite life. It’s also a 10 minute drive to the funicular for Mounte Bré (great views and hikes). In town - try the Olive Trail hike in Gandria or take a ferry tour of the lake. Bellissimo!

Beautiful apartment, great area for bars/ restaurants and easy access to Metro. From start to finish Francesca was super helpful, super response with great recommendations. Would not hesitate to stay here again and would definitely recommend!

Super charming home with absolutely stunning views of Lake Como better seen in person. The amenities were wonderful and the hosts were so very friendly, attentive and helpful. Highly recommend staying here! Also, be sure to book any transportation ahead of time.

Thank you for a wonderful stay on Lake Orta! Carla was extremely helpful and friendly and the property was perfect for my and my daughter's needs. We had everything we needed, plus the location right on the lake, within an easy walk to the town, but far enough away from the centre to enjoy the peace and quiet, was ideal. Having parking and not having to drive through the town's narrow streets to access the property made life a lot easier.

We were there for a family wedding which was nearby so was the perfect location. The building had been an old monastery which has been sympathetically and very tastefully renovated it was fantastic we had our own courtyard with loungers table and chairs, beautiful touches throughout can’t rate our stay highly enough 100%. What stood out was Luca himself he helped us enormously. We had a family dinner planned in the neighbouring town but found it impossible to get a taxi bearing in mind it was a Sunday and maybe not as many available even Luca tried but no luck so he took us in his car to the venue which I thought was amazing khe also helped to carry our luggage when we arrived and when we left very very helpful.5stars for the house and 6stars for the host.

The apartment gave the real Italian feeling. The pattio and garden were amazing and gave an relaxing enviroment. And the views over Lago di Como was breathtaking. Could sit outside and just enjoy the view and silence for hours. Would absolutly stay there again.

Complete and very good accommodation, the host welcomed us and even gave us tips on our places to visit! Accommodation very close to the train station (10 min walk) which serves the Milan train stations!

Marugg's place exceeded all of our expectations!!!! Lugano was our final stop on our 2 week family trip through Italy. We experienced many beautiful places throughout the 2 weeks but Marugg's place exceeded them all!!! The attention to detail was phenomenal. The location was 'perfetto,' the views spectacular and the home pristine. Our grandchildren made excellent use of the pool and the outdoor space was incredible! We enjoyed our morning coffee on the expansive patio area soaking in the tranquil views of the lake and all of the beautiful flowers. The smell of honeysuckle abounded outdoors ~ Marugg's home truly encompassed all of the senses. We cannot recommend it enough and we can't wait to return on our next visit to see our Swiss family! Marugg, thank you so much for your kind hospitality! We feel honored to have been welcomed into your exceptional home. We made so many beautiful memories with our family. An oasis of relaxation – highly recommended! Our stay in this fantastic apartment was just perfect. The atmosphere is wonderful – quiet, stylish and furnished with a lot of love for detail. The furnishings leave nothing to be desired: modern, high quality and absolutely clean. We would like to emphasize the friendly and attentive staff as well as the first-class service – you feel welcome from the first minute. An ideal destination for couples who want to enjoy peace, comfort and a special time together. It was our first stay, but certainly not our last. Thank you for this wonderful break!

Great location, the appartement is nice but it is the location that really makes it an incredible stay. Not just lake Como in general but also having 2 restaurants downstairs.

We had a great time, just the arrival was a little complicated. The instructions were clear but the GPS didn't work, very narrow paved road and a really not easy to navigate slope. Beautiful apartment overlooking the lake, swimming pool a little cold, shame, terrace that lacks a little privacy. Very good restaurant "baba du lac" where we ate for not very much, I would highly recommend it! City that is not a ferry to Varenne so have to take the car otherwise accessible for other cities, count 1h/1h30 of travel on the lake. Tourist tax 1 euro/person to be counted and paid in cash on arrival. I didn't find Irene very smiling when I arrived but she explained the accommodation, the access and responded quickly to messages. Thank you.

Marissa & Antonello were wonderful hosts for us staying in Milan for 5 days. Proactive communication from booking and gave us detailed instructions to get to their apartment from the train station. They then showed us around the apartment and complex so we could get around easily. They were always on hand to give us further information about the city & the apartment and left us enough amenities to last us for the duration of our stay. The apartment itself was very clean and modern with a peaceful environment from other residents. Would 100% stay here again if I come back to Milan.

beautiful location. i prefer varnessa to belagio. flat is just the right size for a couple. if there's anything I want to mention is that it's in a much higher location than I expected. one would definitely need a car for more frequent visit to the town below. the host is so friendly and always available and responsive.

Had a great time at this apartment! The place is perfectly as described: clean, well-decorated and very well-equipped. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need to cook, and the bathroom is impeccable.

We stayed at the property for four days and enjoyed the time very much. The accommodation is lovingly decorated and there is everything you need. It's also worth walking to the village and strolling through the small alleys. Down on the main road there is a small delicatessen, which appealed to us very much. Within 10 minutes you are in Stresa and in 20 minutes in Arona, where you can shop well. We will be happy to come back!
