Monthly Rentals in Lowick Bridge

We enjoyed our stay in the cottage. It was easy to get to a variety of places and the communication was excellent. The beds were comfortable and the shower was good with instant hot water. It was nice to have an enclosed yard for the dog. The stairs are a bit tricky but manageable. The cottage is just off the road but traffic was light in late May. We found great places to eat within a 10-15 minute drive. Easy check in & out.

Everything was great, the accommodation, location and clean well thought out facilities etc. a few small things that in my opinion would make the accommodation a little better is having the larger fridge upstairs with the smaller fridge down in the entrance area as the extra space. The second thing is not having a full length mirror, which particularly for girls they like to be able to use a log mirror for getting ready. Lastly but not a deal breaker would be a washing machine either in the entrance area or within kitchen area would be a really great and useful addition to the accommodation for trips that are longer than 2 nights, especially nearer a week long.

Lovely cottage with parking and secure garden which was perfect for us to go walking in the Lake District. We covered Coniston Water, Grasmere, Rydal Water and Tarn Hows and had such a fabulous time exploring waterfalls, caves, copper mines and John Barrow and Wordsworth monuments. We gave Windermere a swerve as looked a little too crowded for us but stopped off at Ambleside for some supplies. It was lovely to come back to our cottage at the end of the day to a warm shower (and one night a log fire) and to start the day with a cuppa on the sunny bench listening to the birds.

We really struggled to find the cottage as the sat nav took us to two completely different places beforehand! At 8pm in the pouring rain, with two young children we were knocking on the door of another 3 The Row, Spark Bridge to find a worried Air BnBer thinking we'd been double booked! I tried to phone the number for the host listed on AirBnB but no response. I was surprised to have no return call later on to check there were no emergenices once they'd seen the missed calls! We only found the cottage by chance after driving round and round. Cottage was lovely, very cosy, everything you need is there. Garden is beautiful, yes communal but we only saw one other neighbour who was lovely and told us the history of the cottages. The river in the garden is amazing! Wish I'd read listing properly and seen it was pet friendly (my error) as it was either the pet hair or the plug in air fresheners that brought on my allergies! Overall we had a lovely stay to break up our journey to Scotland!
