Waterfront Farmhouse with Hot Tub by Loch Ness

ChristinaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our family of 5 adults had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, peaceful cottage. It was so charming and beautifully decorated. The beds and linens were divine, and the kitchen was very well furnished. The bathrooms had great showers and lovely soaps and lotions. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and gathered around a fire in the sitting room at night. The backyard and access to the canal trail were wonderful for long scenic walks. It was not far to Inverness for groceries and shopping. The check-in process was so easy, and the instruction manual so comprehensive, we didn’t have to contact Gigina to address anything. We highly recommend this property for a comfortable, relaxing stay in the Highlands.

The Maltings

MoiraRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Simpathetically converted malt house in a peaceful setting. Good sized house with absolutely brilliant garden that had plenty space for the dogs to run around. Comfy beds with fresh linen, towels, robes and slippers. Well stocked kitchen with thoughtful welcome gift. Cozy lounge with plenty logs for the burner. Great little study space for those that still have to do a bit of work. Hot tub clean with non-slip rubber mats around it. Unfortunately, more careful attention needed from cleaning team in places, which was disappointing - for the money, perfection expected. Warning for fellow townies - go less than walking pace along the track to prevent the underside of your car getting scraped, unless you drive a land rover. Also, the bins are located at the end of the road, so stinky rubbish needs to go in the car - too far to carry it. We're not precious about our car but our son flatly refused to take it in his new car!

Luxury Riverside Cottage with Hot Tub

TiffanyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This place is amazing. Great location to travel around the highlands. Every drive is more beautiful than the last. The donkeys are the sweetest and the cows are so nice to hear and very curious. The little produce stand had eggs and potatoes to purchase which was great for breakfast before adventuring out. Nice walk into town to the pub and deli, even got to meet Percy the local peacock. Everyone is so very friendly. Robert shared local spots and even where to visit the hairy coos nearby. I am glad we booked this little oasis before the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Gorgeous Rosemarkie Cottage

AlanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The house was wonderful - we were delighted with both the location and with the property. The house was immaculate, and beautifully furnished with some really lovely pictures and objects throughout. The rooms were all good-sized and bright with the kitchen/dining area overlooking the garden a real standout. It was very well maintained and it felt like a proper home from home. The location was really lovely too - nice and quiet with a very short walk to the beach. We particularly enjoyed our walks around the area and along to Chanonry Point to look for the dolphins. A local pub and a lovely restaurant were close by too which was a bonus! Our host, Eva, provided us with clear and concise information prior to our arrival and messaged us a couple of times during our stay to make sure that all was in order. This was very much appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend the property to others, and we certainly plan to visit again!

Fabulous Family Holiday Home with Hot Tub

NikkiRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed here for a week with our grown children and their partners. Alasdair's cottage was perfect. It immediately felt cosy and comfortable. The games barn was a fun addition, and a great place to store our bikes when not in use. We got the hot tub going and once up to temperature it was easy enough to keep it ticking over for several evenings. The kitchen was well appointed, enough utensils, crockery and pans for us to cook each night. The cottage is next to open fields and farm land with quiet roads that lead to Cublin Forest. This was an amazing place to explore on foot and on bike, especially the peninsula that runs along the Findhorn Estuary and into the sea. Deserted beach and inquisitive seals. We also drove about an hour north to do some hiking at Glenmore in the Cairngorms. After our busy days adventuring it was always great to return to the cottage to relax and sleep soundly in the super size comfortable beds.

Chic Highland Estate Cottage with Hot Tub

CarlyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had the most wonderful stay in Butlers cottage. The attention to detail and interior was incredibly thought out, we have never stayed in such a beautiful cottage. The fires were lit upon our arrival and ross was there to welcome us in and show us around. He was genuinely one of the nicest hosts we have met, you can tell he’s passionate about what he does by how incredibly presented everything was. The garden and grounds were stunning, plenty of routes to walk the dog and plenty of places to sit and take in the surroundings. The cottage is tucked away, very nice and private yet still easy to get to and close to the little shop! which we loved. We bought the homemade rolls kit and they were to die for, easy to make and ended up with loads of them to take home. We will without a doubt be back again soon, we didn’t want to leave!!!

Shack at Back

StephenRating, 5 stars4 days ago
I used Louise's place as my last Airbnb on a hiking tour I did of the Highlands and I felt so lucky to have done so. The bed was the most comfortable I slept in for 3 weeks and the whole space was so quiet. I was very grateful I chose to stay in Boat of Garten and not in Aviemore (way too busy). Louise was also exceptionally kind and friendly. Also, having a full kitchen with washing machine for clothes was a great way to "return to civilization" after all my hiking. I would be very pleased to stay here again.

Lyn of Sheval Croft is a piece of heaven on Earth. It was incredibly charming inside and sitting in the dome in the evening watching the sunset was so peaceful. We loved watching the horses roam in the field behind the house. Jennifer was a great host giving us incredibly detailed instructions that made our stay seamless. She also provided fantastic recommendations for in home whiskey tasting by Steve and local in home meal delivery by Mac & Cat. We hope to make it back to Speyside and would absolutely stay here again!

2 Hedgefield Cottages

CurtRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Ken was a FABULOUS host. Proactive with our needs and communicated very well. The space is very clean and well laid out. Bummer to have no half bath on the first floor, but not a huge deal. Kitchen and bath areas are well stocked and the WiFi is fast. Town is about a 15min walk. It’s not bad going: coming back is uphill. We didn’t mind, but did try the bus and it’s very smooth and drops you very close to the home. Overall, it’s a 10! Thanks again, Ken!

Cosy old cottage, close to Huntly train station

NickyRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Anna's place is described as a cosy cottage...and it is exactly that. From the moment you walk in through the front door there are helpful little 'tags' of information inviting you to make yourself at home (as opposed to the often overbearing instructions that you find in an AirBnB,) plus a very comprehensive home guide book. The bed is extremely comfortable...and huge, and the kitchen has everything you need and more... it is really well equipped. The house itself is a 5 minute walk from the centre of Huntly, 2 minutes from the railway station, and a 2 minute drive from the A96. My only comment would be if you have any mobility issues this property wouldn't be suitable as the bedroom is downstairs and the lovely bathroom (with an amazing shower (great water pressure and lots of hot water)) is upstairs. A little gem of an AirBnB!
