House vacation rentals in Los Pargos

Lovely, clean and comfortable home in a safe and beautiful neighborhood. We arrived in the evening and it was a little bit of work getting into the neighborhood (they didn’t have our names for arrival). Power went out the first morning so that interrupted cooking breakfast (thankfully we brought some food and we used the grill) but then we also didn’t have water or a/c (and then had to get instructions for water filtering system). Also could not get into laundry facilities, even using a second set of keys. Host/concierge was responsive to communication but still couldn’t fix situation. Host/concierge also helped us start outdoor fire pit. Definitely would need to have or rent a car as it is not walkable to any tourist spots, beach, restaurants or stores. We had trouble getting Ubers and getting food for evening meals. We walked to JW Marriott but the beach was not a swimming beach and no amenities unless you stay or pay to join club. We were able to get an uber/taxi from the hotel.

We had a great week at Casa Verde. Joff (Housekeeper) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the area (surf spots, snorkel spots, offshore fishing, La Equina, etc.), a great resource. Location of the house is awesome, far off the dusty roads that lead to the neighborhood. Monkeys and Iguanas in the trees above. Surf right down the patch. The house is huge...plenty of space to spread out. The pool was clutch on those super-hot afternoons when you just can't stand the beach/sun any longer. Don't be cheap w/ your car rental. Get a true 4x4 and explore all Costa Rica has to offer! Pura Vida! JP from NJ

Beautiful house in the heart of Tamarindo. We spent 4 nights at Arbel's and enjoyed every minute of it. The house and kitchen were all stocked with what we needed for making meals. It's only a short walk to all the restaurants and beach, so making a quick trip back to the house for lunch or in case you left something is easy.

We had an unforgettable stay at this stunning Airbnb in Tamarindo! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful and well-kept the space was. The home was not only spotless and comfortable, but thoughtfully designed with a warm, welcoming vibe that made it feel like a true tropical escape. Every detail — from the cozy furnishings to the serene outdoor area — was exactly as pictured, if not better. What really set this place apart, though, was the host’s exceptional responsiveness. Anytime we had a question or request, they replied almost instantly and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Their attentiveness made everything so smooth and hassle-free, which allowed us to just relax and enjoy our time. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful getaway or a base to explore Tamarindo, this Airbnb is a perfect choice. We’ll absolutely be booking again — and we couldn’t recommend it more!

This is a great place even if you never left the property it's such an enjoyable place to be we have watched the monkeys eat mangoes from the trees the rain in the evening and enjoyed the pool during the day the beach is a 3 minute drive and the home is absolutely amazing wouldn't change a thing.

My wife and I had an amazing stay at this home. Super clean and quick responses when I had questions. The howler monkey family that would sometimes visit were an added bonus. Would highly recommended this home.

We had a great stay and hope to go back. Here are a few of our highlights: - House was perfect for a week long vacation in Avellanas for the 4 of us (parents plus two teenage sons). The kitchen was well stocked, the AC kept things cool at night, and we loved having AM coffee on the patio listening to birds and monkeys. - We very heavily used the community pool. We were the only ones staying in our group of homes around the pool so we had it to ourselves each day. It was cleaned daily. - It was a long walk to the beach (20min) so we often drove to the maintained parking lot by Lola's and paid the modest $4. (The fee helps maintain the beach access so it seems well-worth paying each day.) Because it was still walkable, we'd often walk home, leaving the kids with the car to finish up a surf session... it was nice to have that flexibility. - The gated community with guards felt very secure, but the overall area also felt very safe for our 5-7 mile runs, evening strolls, and more!

This place is awesome. The yard is huge and very private. The pool was better than we expected. The house was great for our family of four. One concern we had staying in this area where it’s very hot was having air conditioning for sleeping and I was pleased that each bedroom has individual units that had no problem keeping up with the heat. We cooked many meals in the kitchen which was nice so we could stay home and enjoy the pool. Safe area and we felt the beaches in this area were way nicer than the more popular Coco or Tamarindo and way less crowds. So glad we went a little south of those areas. It’s quite a walk to the beach so we drove it but I suppose you could walk it. The drive back to the property is intimidating the first time with a few steep drops, uneven narrow roads, and a few river crossings but after the first trip in we had no issues making that drive multiple times a day, kind of added to the experience. 10/10, would stay here again.

This place was pristine! Whoever designed this home had excellent attention to detail. The landscape has grown in nicely since the pictures were taken so the property was even more beautiful than expected. With no adjacent rear neighbor, the trees, foliage and wildlife behind the home are beautiful. In fact, there is only one home adjacent to the property but and it's separated by a pretty good privacy fence. Loved the small surf town of Playa Grande as well!

Perfection. Absolute perfection. The other reviews are spot on. Just book it already. The views can’t be beat and no picture can do it justice. Everywhere you look it is beautiful and magical: the jungle sounds, the sunsets, the amazing flora and fauna, the details and thoughtful touches. It is so perfect it is almost overwhelming. Every day, I couldn’t believe I was there. And the hosts! They are amazing! They are genuinely kind and generous, not that fake used car salesman nice. They are the real deal. Anything they recommend, just do it. Use their concierge service and do everything! You can’t go wrong. We would have stayed longer and plan to go back soon.

We stayed in the rainy season with two families. The unique layout let us all move around after hours and have pretty of privacy. The covered seating area and large sliding and folding doors to the pool made for such an awesome set up in the rain or sun. The pool had plenty of shade to hide from roasting in the sun. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay! We loved the jungle feel at casa abejas and the salt water pool was amazing.

Overall great stay got to see a ton of wildlife live like monkeys, lizards,bats and birds. I understand location on Airbnb is an estimate so it should the beach closer walking distance than it was. Very buggy if u do like insect be cautious. But great area for food and surfing.

Casa Prana was absolute paradise. We just got back from an amazing trip to Costa Rica, and this house made the entire experience next-level. From the moment we arrived, everything was flawless—luxury at every turn. The beds and linens were unbelievably comfortable, the outdoor space and pool area were to die for, and the coffee setup was unreal—perfect for those early mornings before surfing or fishing. The house had everything we needed and more. It felt like every detail was carefully thought out, making it the perfect place to relax, recharge, and enjoy every second. If you’re headed to Costa Rica and want to do it right, Casa Prana is it!

This is the second year in a row we have stayed here. It is super cute and perfect for my family. The pool is fabulous. The house is about a 25-minute drive to Tamirindo. The location is perfect to keep you out of the hustle and bustle of the touristy town. The howler monkeys hung out in the trees surrounding the property. There are restaurants and small stores close by if you need anything. You will need a car in this area to get around, and note that if you take the "back road," it is a very rough ride but quite the adventure. But if you take the main road through Paraiso, it is super smooth and simple. This is a great place to stay. We have always felt safe and secure. We will be back.

We loved our week stay in Playa Hermosa. The view is amazing and the house was the perfect size for us. We loved the gym, deck and pool. Ian was super helpful with scheduling activities. The best part of our stay was definitely having Rebecca come every morning and make us the best breakfasts ever! She is a superstar and even helped us with our Spanish. We will definitely return and would highly recommend visiting!

What an incredible place. It’s a few minutes outside Tamarindo and Playa Flamingo and worth the drive. The place has insane views and is so unique. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. 11/10.

A Peaceful Getaway Near the Beach It was a beautiful house close to the beach, and it was the perfect mix of tranquility and convenience. Surrounded by nature, the property offered a private and peaceful retreat, ideal for relaxation. Despite the secluded feel, it was just a short distance from town, making it easy to access restaurants and any essentials. For us was perfect because we were looking for a quiet escape or a balance between nature and accessibility, this place offers the best of both worlds! Looking forward to visit again.

We stayed a month at Casa Azul and loved it. We had our 10 year old son with us and we did not have a car so we walked everywhere. It was an adjustment at first with the heat and dusty roads but after a few days it felt fairly easy. We loved that we could walk 2km in with either direction and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Playa Negra and Playa Avellanas and the shops and restaurants in those areas. Or that we could walk just 300m down the road to Playa Lagartillo if we didn’t want to walk that day. Despite what we read beforehand about playa lagartillo, it does have decent places for swimming and enjoying the water. There are spots without rocks on the larger span of the beach where the waves and tide is not too strong so ideal for kids and families. And it’s a very quiet beach with beautiful sunsets. It was very helpful to have the local deliveries of fresh fruit and veggies, German bakery, fish, and chicken and eggs on various days of the week. We would definitely come back again!

We were attending a wedding on the property of Hacienda Pinilla and this location was in the perfect spot to be close enough to the festivities but far and secluded enough to have the perfect privacy. Vanessa and Audrey were the perfect host. They were able to answer any questions we had and also able to accommodate any of our requests. I would highly recommend it!

We had a blast for our Christmas getaway! First, Mary incredible host, super caring for everything and on the call for any questions we had. The house beautiful, private pool with garden, we loved those lamps hanging on the trees. The kitchen is set with everything we needed, great bbq nights. Bedrooms and bathrooms impeccable. And the surroundings could not get any better; beach club access, golf, tennis, morning walks, great bike rides and pet friendly! Thank you Mary we really felt as home!!! Delightful vacations. And we will be back ASAP!

The property is in a great location within 10 minutes of walking to a very beautiful and non-tourist beach and to many quaint restaurants/cafes. The house is relatively new with plenty of modern amenities, kitchen is fully loaded, rooms with AC and in-suite bathrooms. There is ample secure parking and outdoor chairs for relaxing. Shawna is a very helpful and responsive host. Four of us stayed comfortably for 4 nights.
